You may have already made up your mind however I like FA Cinnamon Ceylon and FLV Rich Cinnamon. If I did not have RC, I could be quite happy with Cinnamon Ceylon and still use it.
Thanks for your thoughts on the cinnamons. I’m stuck between those two concentrates right now.
I adore cinnamon, so I have both of them. I like a good cinnamon kick (think Fireball/Red Hots), too, so I also have TPA's Cinnamon Red Hot. I haven't SF tested any of these yet, so I may just test the Red Hot. I'm confident the other two will be just fine to use, since so many like them.
I'm a LONG way from creating my own recipes, so I'm thinking my plan will be to make a big bottle of nic base and mix up 10ml-test batches, in small groups of 2-4 different flavoring categories:
- One-shot flavors, as I can potentially use these mixes to vape while I gain more experience with my scale
- Creams, custards, puddings, milks, meringues, cheeses, vanillas, etc., as they can help round/fill out & add mouthfeel to the one-shot SFTs
- Flavors that add a little 'oomph' (such as dragon fruit, cactus, cucumber, pear, cotton candy, Joy, Love, etc.). I will need to know what these bring to the table, if I decide to use them to help the one shots.
- Then... I can get a little Mad-Scientisty, combining some of these SFTs to find out what they do to/with each other. I think I will gain the most knowledge this way, while feeding my need to "create" something that I can actually use.
Kind of what Anna said that she did in the beginning... I want to test a group of flavors that can somehow complement each other, resulting in a simple mix or two in the end. Doing all of my SFTs in order of how they are in my cases, by similar category, would certainly be very orderly, but not very practical for me. Once these SFTs are steeped and tested, I intend to conduct mini 'experiments/projects' to see how these flavors interact with each other. If I have too many SFTs of one type going, I'm likely to end up with a rather one-dimensional impression of the flavor, rather than it's full potential... Kind of how people write in their notes, "works/pairs well with...flavor X". I won't possibly know that unless I play a bit, therefore I will need the other ingredients (steeped on their own) ready to mix into a bit of the SFT for a short steep. I do not want to add other concentrates to the SFTs and then have to wait for long steeping to occur again before testing the results.
I know me... It will start getting boring/tedious after a while and I'll surely forget about the bottles for months. I need to add a little 'Mad Scientist' in there to keep me coming back to them. I'm one of those people that needs to know why/how something is, before I feel confident working with it, which also means knowing how to rescue a major fail. I want to be able to know for myself what I can do from my own experiences. Reading what others say/do helps initially, but it doesn't make it 'stick' for me, if that makes any
sense. Producing mixes that I'd actually
vape from these SFTs will be like a little reward to myself to keep me going.
I both want to, and am afraid to try spotted dick, As best as I know it's like this custardy bread pudding with raisins? I am sure I could remedy this by looking it up.... Sigh.
Yeah, the Brits have some wicked words for things, which can be a little off putting at best. LOL! If that is what 'spotted dick' is, Anna, it is going on my wish list now! Carbs and dried fruit are not meant to be in my life at this time, so I *need* to add them to my vape arsenal instead.
