Is the discounted full recipe packs a good way to go on BCF?
I’ve never priced it out. See how much the ingredients would be separately vs as a pack. Some of the recipes look good, but I usually have some of the flavors already so I haven’t looked past the recipe

I havent prices it out yet, but the downside is that in order to get the discount, you have to buy every flavor. So some of the flavors I already have. Discount be damned, I might just be better off adding individual flavors. I'm still waiting to test some of my juices, so hopefully I can buy larger quantities.. thus saving money. All the flavors I bought were 10-13ml.

Smallest size is best for new flavors. In my zeal to start diy, I ordered 6 4oz bottles of what I thought  would be the ONLY ones I would ever need. (Prior to diy I had 2 ADVs, and an occasional newbie). Pretty sure they will outlast me, 4 I wish I hadn’t bought. They’re not bad, I just found other brands I preferred. As my mixing progressed, I found my flavor profiles changed. I didn’t buy a larger bottle of anything until it made it past the tester and 3 30ml bottles to make sure it really was a keeper. A little snake-bit I guess, but I think it’s saved me from repeating my initial mistake.

I just looked quickly at a recipe & it’s slightly discounted. For example FA Lemon Sicily 10ml is $2.25 & in the recipe it’s $2.03.

That's where I'm torn, what size to order. I'm planning to start off making 120ml and go from there (60 for me, 60 for my brother), so debating on whether I should get the 15ml flavorings or the 30. I know some of the flavors I'll use more than others, like vanilla custard, I'll likely get a 30ml of but not sure about the others.

If it’s a tried & true recipe you can safely buy the 30ml I think.

Thanks guys. Was able to downsize a couple flavors. It's a recipe from @Fidola13 that I haven't tried. I cut the kentucky bourbon down to a 15 from a 30 just in case I end up not liking it, but the custard I know I'll use in other recipes and the sweet cream I need for another recipe I'll try soon so I kept those at 30.

@FranC That's fair, I hadn't thought about it that way. This one is the TFA that most people seem to like quite a bit so I guess I'm rolling the dice on that one.

At some point you should pick up 2-3 small bottles of other Vanilla Custards (at a time...LOL) .You might surprise yourself and like another brand a lot more.

Fair warning.....One entire side of my flavor case (aka nail polish case) is just creams/custards/ice creams/puddings. Only several get used regularly. Taste is so subjective. I’d start small with everything. They all have variations in eggy/vanilla/mouthfeel etc...you won’t know until you try it whether it’s up your alley or not, no matter how many reviews you read or how much someone else likes it.

Get ready because in the next few months you will have a box of fresh cream, a box of strawberries, a box of vanilla creams and so on. It never ends. There are flavors you will use all the time and ones you will use now and then and some you will use once a year. I just stopped counting mine

Is there a difference between TPA and TFA? About to pull the trigger on an order from My Freedom Smokes since there's 20% off code going and wanted to make sure before I actually put the order in.
    Just as an FYI:
TPA (The Perfumer's Apprentice) is the company name. Within the company; they offer a line of concentrates that are specifically made as flavor concentrates... and these are the TFA (The Flavor Apprentice) line, and the ones we use for vaping DIY. (They also make concentrates for making perfume, and these are NOT appropriate for vaping. I don't know anything about their new(er) "The Flavored Herb" line.)

As long as you are buying from a established, reputable, reseller dedicated wholly to vaping; you should be just fine (in that the products are appropriate for vaping).

For whatever reasons, resellers (as well as review sites) will use either/or for their abbreviation.

To make matters even more confusing; some resellers (those who offer their own "house" brands) will re-bottle/re-label TPA/TFA products (along with other name-brands), with their own branding. Personally, to avoid this confusion, I try to only buy manufacturer branded concentrates. That way, I have a fair certainty, that I am not unintentionally duplicating concentrates I already possess.
    :)

Thank you :) I made sure I got the TFA branded stuff from My Freedom Smokes, and from Bull City as well (MFS didn't have all the ones I needed).

I decided to dive head first for one bottle of juice, here's the recipe.

    Total amount: 10ml (9.23g)
    Nicotine strength:: 50mg/ml
    PG/VG/H2O: 68/32/0

    - Nicotine base: 5ml (5.2g) (nic salts)
    - Zero PG portion: 0ml (0g)
    - Zero VG portion: 3.2ml (4.03g)
    - H2O portion: 0ml (0g)
    - Strawberry CAP - 5%: 0.5ml (0.52g)
    - Watermelon candy TFA - 7%: 0.7ml (0.73g)
    - Apple candy TFA - 5%: 0.5ml (0.52g)
    - Vanilla Custard v2 CAP - 1%: 0.1ml (0.1g)

Tastes like bubblegum and vanilla custard. It tastes good, but not quite what I was going for. Even so, I could probably vape this all day. I only let this steep for 2 days, so I'll see what happens after 5 or more days.

I usually give anything cream/custard a month to steep. That’s not much custard, but for me it takes it that long to settle down and show up
