I had similar thoughts in reading the recipe which is why I set out to find a replacement for the Butterscotch Ripple. I have 4 15ml testers steeping to test 4 different mixes that I hope will replace the Butterscotch Ripple and do it well. I also LOVE Lemondowski. Our tastes must be similar. :)

I have used Butterscotch Ripple in other recipes. It is a good flavor however misplaced here. I look forward to your changes. Yes, we have similar taste.

Antiquated hardware?? I still use and love my carto tanks.

Cartos and I did not get along as I kept burning them out due to poor priming on my part. Mind you I had been vaping for ~ one month when I tried them. Even though they were not difficult to use, it was a hit or miss as to whether I primed them correctly. I think I still have some of the tanks but none of the cartos. I used a CE5 or whatever it was called — had strings hanging down for wicks prior to this. The cartos were definitely better than the CE if only I could have gotten them primed. After the cartos, I used Kayfuns for a while. Others such as the Kanger Protank never worked for me as they always leaked. The Aspire Viva Nova and Nautilus then became my favorites for a good year.

I have been using the Nautilus coil in the Kabuki tank for four years now plus the year I used the Nautilus tank. I have tried other set ups both MTL and DL since I started using the Kabuki and have concluded the Kabuki just works for me. Other than the Zenith I do not waste my money trying other tanks now. If something new comes out that is a big hit with vapers then I may consider trying one. Until then it is the Kabuki and Zenith for me — never had a Kabuki or Zenith leak, no dry hits or gurgling plus I get good flavor. What more could I ask for.

Prior to all of this I tried several different cigalikes off and on for a couple of years. They were so cheaply made that the USB charging never worked. In addition to being expensive — something like $50 for the kit that included five small pre-fills, there were two choices of flavor refills — menthol or no menthol I seem to recall. The e-cig industry has changed tremendously and at a fairly good pace. Next month it will be six years that I have been vaping and this does not include the cigalikes.

uf how can you not have cheesecake :pervy: ... um I would guess probably just a heavy cream would work (don't know what flavor that would equal out to though)

edit....maybe yogurt but that'd probably taste a bit funny....
edited again....probably custard would work just fine

I can't vape lemon at all anymore. It's just a total turn off to my tastebuds. I'm the same way with lime but not quite as bad. I can do a slight taste. I do however really like cranberry so I'm going to try this. I actually think this is the recipe I bought the Aurora for.

You may want to consider using the cranberry at the higher percent. It may help temper the lime a little for you.

Back on topic...I had mixed Lemon Crumble Cake and tried it without steeping. It was awful but 2 weeks later, it is good. Now it doesn't have the weird back note I get from cakes and custards.

I saved a Lemon Crumble Cake recipe a while ago and have not tried it yet. I wonder if it is the same as what you mixed. It is the one that was on DIYorDIE. I am not necessarily a Wayne fan although if I did try this I would have to make a sub plus leave out CAP Super Sweet.

I'm close to 9 years now. First came the carts and atties which got pricey real quick.Next up was the greensmoke and the pre-filled cartos which worked well for awhile till quality control went to heck. Now in comes the egos, cartomizers and juice which worked much better and even more so once I discovered tanks and Ikenvapes 801fusion cartos.(Happy to say I gathered a lifetime supply before he went ut of business). Fast forward a few years and I'm liking the Zenith very much. For some reason I never heard of the Kabuki.

    • Super Sweet (CAP) 0.5%
    • Sweet Cream (FW) 2.5%
    • Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (FW)1%

That is a great recipe. I make it for a friend and did do a few subs.

    Bavarian Cream (FW) 1%
    Biscuit (Jungle Flavors) 1.5%
    Cake Batter Dip (FW) 1%
    Cheesecake (FW) 1%
    Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA) 1%
    Juicy Lemon (CAP) 1.5%
    Lemon Meringue Pie (CAP) 1%
    Sweet Cream (FW) 2.5%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA) 1%
    Yellow Cake (FW) 2.5%

Subs for "bad" FW flavors that work well:
    CAP Bavarian Cream
    Jungle Flavors Yellow Cake
    CAP Cake Batter
    CAP NY Cheesecake, VT Cheesecake
    VTA or FLV Sweet Cream

Also, Lemon (FE) or Lemon (SC) is a great sub for the CAP Juicy Lemon. No fading.
