this just means I have to get another mod and tank for a backup, oh darn ;)

Don't know exactly what you'd want as a back-up, but VaporDNA has an early Memorial Day sale going on with their Sale/Clearance stuff. They have a variety of mods, tanks, RBA, etc. in that section. If you use the code PLUS20 you get an additional 20% off the already reduced prices.

If you don't find anything in Sale/Clearance, you can use the code take10 to get 10% off anything else on their site. I bought some Innokin Coolfire Mini with Zenith D22 Kits for a really good price with the 10% off code. Got a few newbies switching to vaping who are already anxious for them to arrive.

will there be a mini-bar of e-juice samples?

Nope, too many different PG/VG ratios and nic mg that people vape, to do that. But I wouldn't be opposed to helping anyone who stays there...with emergency eliquid, coils, cotton, rayon, a backup set-up, etc. if needed.

If I'm going to buy a back up, however, I like to steer towards high end quality vs economical. At least for an RTA, I'm looking at an authentic kayfun or authentic squape. As far as a mod, I've been using mechs for so long, it's hard for me to decide on a regulated mod that will last as long as my mechs (practically forever). I might have to go economical, but quality, on that end.. such as an Aegis Legend. I'd hate to spend so much on a nice regulated mod that won't last forever.

I love love love some guacamole, but I don't think I'd like to vape it.
Also, I love sushi and seafood.. but man, vaping that? Lol

Hiya @JCinFLA ! It’s been a long time! I see your still being extremely helpful :)

I had to rub my eyes and make sure I was seeing clearly...when I saw you posting in the Shinyitis thread late last night. Thought you'd dropped off the face of the Earth. Good to know you didn't and that you're still vaping! :D

As far as being helpful - Passing along deals info on here is just a small thing I can do, to sort of repay others for all the vaping info and knowledge I gain from people here. Getting local "newbies" started with vaping just sort of happens by accident. Met 2 of the current ones outside the vet's office. They came out for a smoke break, and I was there vaping. We talked about vaping, they tried 2 eliquids I had (I carry tester covers with me all the time), we exchanged info, and took it from there. The wife has been vaping for 1.5 weeks now and has cut her smoking by more than half...while only going through 6 mLs of 7mg eliquid! Her husband is starting this Sunday.

Zing

As we discussed, the thought of Butterscotch Ripple with all that lemon wasn't appealing to many of us. I made up 4 tester batches subbing various custards and creams for the Butterscotch Ripple. I have been trying them out for the past two days and wanted to share my opinions.

Remix #1
I subbed 1.5% CAP Vanilla Custard and 1.5% FLV Vanilla Pudding for the Butterscotch Ripple. This one is very nice and has a deep custard texture. I like it and it is my 2nd favorite of the four.

Remix #2
I subbed 3% CAP Vanilla Custard for the Butterscotch Ripple. This is very custardy and could probably use a longer steep. It is nice but I do think that all of that custard mutes the lemon.

Remix #3
I subbed 1.5% VTA Devon Cream and 1.5% FLV Vanilla Pudding for the Butterscotch Ripple. This is my favorite - the zing of the lemon comes through loud and clear and it has a definite pleasantly sour note. It is silky smooth and has just enough custard for a lovely mouthfeel.

Remix #4
I subbed 3% TFA Vanilla Swirl for the Butterscotch Ripple. This might work without the Holy Vanilla but it is the least flavorful, to me, of the four. Maybe there is just too much vanilla in the mix.

For me, #3 is the winner, with #1 a close second. I like it more than Lemondowskii because there is more lemon flavor and zing! I think that #3 would work with any silky cream in place of the VTA Devon Cream.

I also think that the Lemon Trinity could replace the lemons used in Lemondowskii to zing up the lemon flavor there.

Helpful and prepared!
Yes, I’ve been MIA but plan to stop by more often now that I have more time on my hands. It’s almost been a year since the surgery and things have been really tough this whole time, which is why I’ve been away. I started a 3 to 6 month long medical leave from work 2 weeks ago and hope when I finally get to see the rheumatologist mid June I’ll get treatment that works instead of just masking the pain.

Thanks so much, I do appreciate it. It’s still hard to believe all of this happened basically overnight. I’m not the same person I was, but am actively working on accepting that things will never be the same for me physically. It’s really nice to be back here, as is my usual I’m posting up a storm. Wonder how many people I’ve annoyed yet? Lol

My youngest daughter who is 47 see's a rheumatologist also. She goes to a specialist in Mass. She has a blood infection and they have done every test known to man and haven't yet found the cause. On a good day she just aches.A bad day is all pain. The best they can do for her right now is a med that kills your liver. She said she would only take it on her worse day. Worse day came along a she took one of the meds. Didn't help at all. She also has adrenal failure and takes steroids to compensate.

Wow, thanks for sharing that. I just finished a regimen of prednisone last week. My moon face is almost back to normal. I gained 20 lbs in 3 weeks on that stuff
Sorry your daughter is in pain. She and I are very similar in age. Too young for all these physical ailments *sigh*

Did you try it with the butterscotch? I’m just curious how it is with the original recipe.
