VTA Fuji (or FA Fuji but I find vape Train's to be juicier) is a sweeter apple. VTA's Granny Smith is the best tart apple I have tried. Love the two together but not with caramel. :)

My favorite autumnal recipe is Cran-Apple:
Cranberry (SC) 3% or Cranberry (TPA) 7%
Fuji Red Apple (VTA) 2%
Granny Smith Apple (VTA) 2%
Lemon (FE).5%
Shape Up Pear (Molinberry) .5%
WS-23 30% .5%
Thank you! The tobacco will change up the dynamics I'm sure.

I can’t for some reason stand to vape straight apple flavors but use them for background or accent flavors. I need to do a sft of FA Apple pie. I haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. I had so many sft to go through that I didn’t want to add to the existing pile.
Agree with you to an extent on the apple but I find that to be true with fruit vapes in general.

Question: Are there any flavor vendors that just consistently put out bad flavors? I know flavor is on the tongue of the beholder so I guess I'm asking this from the perspective of genuine flavor. For example, does peach taste like peach or is there some other flavor present that sort of makes it taste off??

Seems I see a lot of TFA and Capella in a lot of recipes. That speaks volumes to me. Bull City I think offers just about every flavor vendor. Most of the flavors I'm interested in so far have been TFA and CAP. But I do have VT and Hangsen too. How do I know if these are crap? Any vendor patterns that have emerged among the opinionists?

Uh, all the above?

Using your peach example, well, there's lots of varieties of real peaches. It's often the case where the mixer will use 2 or 3 "peach" flavors to fine tune to what they actually want. Other flavors can be the same. Different makers highlight different kinds of peachiness, putting several together can be an improvement.

A vendor whose offerings are consistently bad? Not in my experience.

I use this reddit site as a very rough guide to what flavour is crap or not ;)
reddit: the front page of the internet

Also if you check the Notes of the flavour you are interested in on ELR it will give you more detailed information.

I never got into trying other people’s recipes. Just collected general suggestions like recommended percentages and this goes well with that.

A while back I was idly checking out old threads and came across a recipe from 2014 by a member called nitwit, who was a member from 09 and hasn’t been on ECF since 16. Only 30 or so posts total.

For some reason it got my attention. The recipe was kind of fussy, with ingredients set to tenths of a percent. Came with firm suggestions on the appropriate nic and VG levels and coil to use with it. Nitwit had spent 2 years perfecting the recipe. Several people tried it and they were all very complimentary.

I had some of the ingredients already and I ordered the rest. Made it a couple of weeks ago. Nothing like my usual recipes but I like it. I’m vaping it in an RDA, not as low a resistance as nitwit recommended though. It has total flavoring of 22% which is double my level these days. I might try diluting it later. Fruit flavors do tend to need more though. Anyway, it's on my favorites list now.

Don’t suppose @Nitwit will see this, but thanks for the recipe.

    Here it is.

Good morning random folks.:) I feel quite boring lately. Vaping up the remains of my older mixes seems to be taking forever. I’m sure the weekend will be busy but I’m planning on trying a new mix or two Monday. Hope to get a new cheesecake or two mixed soon also.

    Good morning @FranC :)
I need to do up a few bottles this weekend but I don't know what I want to make. Cheesecake sounds good. Maybe a simple hazelnut cream...
I haven't tried a cheesecake with brie or mascarpone and have wanted to. Is there one you feel works better?
(I don't have either but want to get one)

I like both. I’d just get the mascarpone (it’s cheaper);)
