I'm procrastinating mixing, and drinking coffee, while enjoying not having neither the heat nor the ac on. Nice weather today.
So glad you’re getting some pleasant weather:) Just plain cold here with no improvement in sight for several months

I'm headed your way @Blitzdonlife , soon-ish. I'm ready for Texas, but is Texas ready for me? I'll take turning on the AC over turning on the heat, which right now consists of 3 space heaters.. until I replace my heating system next spring/summer. We have been known to get snow on the island though.

What about getting a home warranty? Then the heating system would be covered after 3 months. I have had repairs done ($75 deductible) and at one house they replaced the entire furnace and I only paid the deductible.

Have fun on Padre Island, I've never been in the winter time.

I just wish the weather would make up its mind. One day in the 30's then one day in the 70's, it's hard to get used to.
We were up and down like that for quite awhile but now it just looks like cold and more cold.

I don't know anything about that. But that sounds amazing! I'm not sure it would apply to my 30 year old furnace though, and my asbestos taped ductwork. I have to have that removed by a specialist for mucho grande denero :(

I've never been in the summer time, but it's been pretty nice and quiet when we stay down there. It's a nice pace of life. Not much swimming involved, the gulf is so cool. I don't swim in the ocean any time of the year though lol, not after I've seen sharks not far off shore and tons of jellyfish

I was just a kid the first time I went in the ocean and you guessed it.....someone yelled shark. I looked up and saw fins and that was all she wrote.I got my little self back to shore and never went in the ocean again. That afternoon there was a shark attack. I love to sit on the sand and watch the waves but that’s it.

That's why I do most tasks and jobs myself.. but asbestos.. no way, leave it to the specialists even if it costs both arms and a leg.
The house I grew up in was in Springfield Mass and the furnace looked like a huge dirty white glob to me. All asbestos.

Wouldn't hurt to try it and will only cost you about 40 per month depending on how many appliances. Pay 3 or 4 months and put in for repair. They always try to wiggle out just like insurance co. but fight it out with them and it should work out. If not, cancel at that point, you are not obligated to keep it going. I use AHS. I think Choice covers roofing which AHS does not.

I don’t how many houses you have, rose, but if you’re not moving I’d be selling.

Been trying to sell for 6 months. The market crashed in that area unfortunately.

That might come in handy with the new appliances I've bought the last several years. Range, fridge, washer and dryer
I had them out twice in 6 months for heating/ac. 2 different things went wrong but worth the $75 fees. You can get pool coverage, I think for the pump/motor but it costs a little extra.

Also, I have 2 AC units so I need a warranty.
