Is there a "general" rule of thumb for steep time on diy mixes. I usually steep for 3 weeks, just wondering what is best.
You're safe for most things with 3 weeks. Steep time depends on ingredients.

    Like Fran says. :)

In general, fruits run to snv. Creams and tobaccos need time, 3 weeks may be enough, but some tobaccos take lots longer.

Don't forget the cheesecakes. I give mine 4 weeks without fail. No need to cheat as I have a few of them mixed and ready:) I also agree that some baccys should be steeped longer.

You know I’m really in the diy zone when I’m disappointed that I remembered an old friend is stopping by this evening so I may not get to mix. Sigh, weekends are never long enough
    Tomorrow is another day,Chels:)

    Peppermint-FA

I saw that you already ordered the FA Peppermint from somewhere else but for future reference, BCF has almost everything.

I didn’t see the VTA sweet cream there which is why I ordered from 2 places. But I do thank you for the suggestion

So, no one has raspberry info?

I don't use a lot of raspberry flavors but I have several. TFA Raspberry Sweet, which I know you wouldn't like, works well in lemonades. I like FA Raspberry with grapefruit flavors and don't get a floral note from it at 2%. At least to my tastes, it is a pretty natural ripe raspberry. INW Malina is the strongest and a little goes a long way. VTA Shisha Raspberry is thick and jammy but not candy sweet - there is a tartness to it. I know, not much help. I really only use raspberry flavors as accents.

When I post a recipe, I usually use the names that E L R uses. Sometimes BCF drops the flowery descriptive names like Mild Winter which is just peppermint. BCF is the only US vendor for VT flavors if I am not mistaken which makes them best for me. I occasionally order from Chefs if they are running a 30% off sale and I need something I can't get here or want to take advantage of their lower prices on rebranded FA flavors (Flavour Creative.)

    Have fun!

Right now I’m not too impressed with taste. It is mixed with the PUR that I know is good.

BTW What do you think of the FW Raspberry?
I'm liking it but I don't want to speak for you. It's a strong flavor. That may translate into sweet for you but I'm thinking because I go half with FA's Raspberry it might take some of the starch out of it.
