I agree. I'm not sure how he reached celebrity status but good for him. I also agree so much on the term best. What's best to me could be crap to someone else.

I'm speculating, but would think he reached his celebrity status from being one of the most vocal and an early adaptor to the YouTube medium in terms of DIY. He may not have been the first, but he stuck it out where others dropped off. Tens of thousands of great mixers out there, but not many are willing to show their face on YT.

I applaud his success. I’m sure it took great efforts and dedication.

I've learned a lot from him. It's kind of like this thread - I like some of the recipes and modify others to better suit my tastes. Others are a big nope (like being too sweet for FranC). I don't do tobacco or mint for example. It's interesting seeing what other people do and their comments. It's all good to me.

LOL, I have no interest in going on youtube. I'll leave that to Wayne, he has the personality for it.

I admit to not following Wayne. His tastes are way out in left field (for me). I do love this thread and I do read every post. I agree it's interesting seeing what folks do along with the comments. I have learned much from the folks here since I started this thread. I am now learning about NETs from @Bronze proving there is always something new out there. I took the plunge and tried the NET flavors and glad I did.

I’ve also picked up a few pointers from his videos and his website, not to mention a few other YouTuber’s. But if I was to scale a single source that I’ve learnt the most from it would be this thread (and forum). The combined knowledge and experience within this thread alone trumps anything Wayne has put out. Something has to be said about strength in numbers.

    Somewhere between here and there
I've done some written reviews on hardware but don't know that I would want to be on video. I had a deal going where I would write some articles on snus but it kind of fell through due to the website company backing off. It's a vaping website and they thought they wanted to start having articles on snus. It's on hold for now.

I've watched a few of his vids. Didn't think much of them one way or the other except for one he did about what makes a good recipe. He basically stated the obvious...the best recipes are the ones you like. Doesn't matter if it's a single flavor or 10 flavors. But what he was really promoting was simplicity with recipes. That if you have 12, 13, 14, 15 flavors in your recipes you're probably off course. I think there are some out there who are wannabe chefs or something so they come up with these ridiculous, complex recipes with 15 flavors as if they have some secret talent. I have a hard time believing anyone knows what they're doing when they have a dozen flavors in their recipe. Just my opinion.

I agree. In the past (when I must have had more patience) I mixed a couple of those many flavors recipes and I was so not impressed.

I ditched another project. It was an easy decision. Honduran Tangerine. The tangerine has NO flavor! First attempt I used 3%. Couldn't taste any of it. My second attempt I went to 7%. Still couldn't taste it. Bye, bye! Drew from BCF threw it in as a freebie so I thought I'd try it. Now I know why he was giving them away.

I think I have one or two recipes I'm working on with maybe 5 or 6 ingredients in it. I know I'm still a rookie but geez, some of these I see are out of control.

I try to keep ingredients down but sometimes 5-6 is necessary like in cheesecakes. I draw the line at 7 but I don't think I have any that are 7...LOL. I have a 3 flavor recipe that's good, at least I like it. Not a NET one.

Glad it was free. I don't have Tangerine

I agree! I have tried those 15 flavor recipes (what was I thinking). I tend to use less than 5 flavors. Years ago, back in late 2010 I started off with single mixes and enjoyed some of them. 2 - 4 flavors I'm happy. I love simple.

Wayne's recipes tend to be too sweet for me. Had to give up on them long ago.
Yep... every recipe ends with Super Sweet (and they would probably be too sweet anyway) He also loves CAP vanilla custard v1 (too much for me) He does have good ideas about combining flavors... just adjust to your tastes.
