It has come to my very sad attention that I have one more mix with the PUR Acai. I only used 1% and I’m really hoping the 5.5% Chefs Black Currant can overcome it. It’s my pudding recipe so if it sucks it will be another to remix.

It was INW Lemon Cake I used in this one. Got the cake but not the lemon flavor. I used FE in another recipe and it came through good. Might add a little FE Lemon on top of the Lemon Cake.
    Can’t hurt.

I think Pam uses it in one of her summer drinks? Pretty sure that’s why I bought it.
Pam used it in Cranberry Gin on the Rocks, Icy Lime Slushy, and Fizzy Sea Breeze and thought it might benefit her Pomegranate Limeade. Fran used it in her Grapefruit Gin and Tonic. I'm sure there are more; these are just the recipes I've copied.

    Might surprise you??

In any case, yeah, it will be a surprise, good or bad. I am kind of waiting for this mix, but I'm not sure anyone can top "If I talked more about that flavor, it would be banned.":thumbs:

IDK though she gets the adventurous +1 for being a cherry enthusiast, I mean former robotripper,

I have never done that and it sounds kind of neat at the moment but like I am guessing (since I cannot leave the house and like he's cooking more chicken soup) the husband would be unlikely to be all like, 'Sure honey I will go and buy four bottles of behind the counter cough syrup." I highly doubt it.

I bought commercial monkey bread. From the store. My first introduction to it was the Appalachia husband making it.

For those who are Que? Because I sure was. Monkey bread - Wikipedia

I said last night damn it I gotta eat that before I die. Now he says he can't cook it. Fortunately it is microwaveable though, so I'm covered. It has been harder to work the microwave but not impossible.

I found 2 things to shove in the freezer and put on my head. I don't LIKE them because they are from all my teeth being removed. But eh, I"m just waiting for them to chill.

I also found out about my husbands lucid dreaming tendencies, and like, I was asking all about it. I was starting to lucid dream right before I got like chemically hampered. I kind of miss dreaming. Per the husband we are superheroes in his lucid dreams. I asked what I could do and he was like, "Anything." I was like "Can I be stealthy and invisible?" and he was like, "Dude you can do that and FLY. And you get so stealthy sometimes you fly right through things, killing them."
I was like, "Um, that doesn't sound very nice." and he was like, "Well, they're monsters and you always give them the first shot." I asked what I was scared of and he said "Situation, plotting and evil you don't like to approach humans." I was like, "WE SOUND AWFUL." LOL. Then I pointed out like surely if he could control his dreams, like he could go to Hawaii and somewhere nice." He didn't seem to get the concept and said, "Sorry we are superheroes and in my dreams, I am GOD."

I was like, "Man do I even want to associate with this human should I sleep on the couch?" and I was like, "yeah okay so why don't you be "God" occasionally on some nice tropical island sitting in a chair I mean it wouldn't HARM you." He explained like, being God entailed responsibility.

I was like, "Okay. I suppose you are just addicted to adrenaline and it is nice you have ah found a way, Sir. God although I BET I do stuff that's unpredictable to you so IDK man. He was like okay maybe...." I decided it was time to change the subject holy crud. I mean life is tiring ENOUGH I think to be quite honest, if I could remember my lucid dreams I would go back to happy times and just freaking chill.

Uuuhn. The husband got me a moist cold towel and showed me how to operate it; I can feel my happiness level rising. IDK maybe he is GOD.

I will say being married to ah, GOD is taxing on occasion. He does have this tendency to think he is always right.

I would totally kill off all them Goats wile lucid dreaming but would not give them a FIRST shot. They don't deserve it. LOL.

When this competition is over maybe we can ask Anna to gather all the really ghastly failures together on a Wall Of Shame.

"With flavor notes." Like: "If I discussed this flavor more I would be banned. I could do artwork too, and maybe a little song about either if like, I can sing again yet. My voice got all hoarse and crunchy."

Oooh enough time has passed perhaps I can review and post my Dylan Thomas "Rage against the light" internet argument villanelle. LOL.

Have you ever used just-squeezed lemon juice? I made the Snake Venom clone juice recently that uses fresh lemon juice and I think it tastes really good. Do you know if it is supposed to fade like the flavorings? Mine is still present, but it's a fairly new juice.

If it wasn’t so late I’d wick a coil and get through the last mix with the wrong Açaí. It will have to wait til tomorrow.
I’m not sure I’d waste fresh wick on the Pur
I tried a little of my cannoli mix. Unsteeped it tastes exactly like.... air. Hmm. We’ll see what waiting does. And perhaps not testing it right after eating blackberries we just picked in the garden . That might help lol. I might try the cherry while I have a shot of it NOT tasting. Tempting!

You're eating blackberries from your garden. Here, the grass has barely started growing.

That worked for Janis Joplin.

Yeah but only thanks to the drugs dude. I don't dispute her genius but I got an opera trained voice, dude, I was Marian the Librarian and I am a medium alto, All musical singers are like um, sopranos dude. (I almost wrote "Oprah trained" that would be bad.) So, my music teacher like suggested opera singling lesions (god don't even ask I spent my high school years living in Potomac and stuff) and they went for it. She was a total nut job but she expanded my range by like an octave and a half. Although IDK if I have the ovaries to get up and sing like that any more it would take a LOT of scales. When you are supposed to go to Julliard and playing the violin 8 hrs a day well, it's a lot easier to sing in tune. Heh.

Man I wonder how I had so much time to get in trouble, honestly!! But I did.

Here is my homage to Dylan Thomas. It was fun to write, honestly. Like, I did adopt the modern practice of changing the repeated lines and I don't think I would have succeeded otherwise but like eh, I like the modern villanelle. I could have done a bit better with meter and verse probably but like there was some stuff I wanted to keep like the Green Bay stuff I mean that is what makes that poem so great for boring reasons I will not get into. I was also SO THRILLED that during less modern times a poet could include the word "That" and get away with it IN A REPEATING villanelle, but it just goes to show like, in the past, grammarians were not such contrarians and well, annoying. I wanted to keep the whole futile rage thing going too.

But enough about learning grammar for my book time to EAT!

Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Internet Fight

Do not go gentle into that good internet fight,
    For unkindness should burn and rave any time of day;
Rage, rage, against politeness on a forum site.

Though cowards, anonymous and brave, spew words by darkest night,
Because their insults sparked so little interest, they
Do not venture gentle into that good internet fight.

Great members helpful thoughts can shine forth so bright
Frail sayings remembered, freed as a child sails a kite high over a green bay,
They do not rage against politeness on a forum site.

Wild men who post too soon, attempting notoriety in flight,
Will learn, too late, and grieve along their way,
But still decline to venture gentle into that good internet fight.

Grave men, their IPS blocked, now see with blinding sight
Wishing eyes could blaze as meteors forcing usernames back into the fray,
Rage, rage until you can't against politeness on a forum site.

To the poster now ignored, demeaned from unassailable height,
Blast rapid with your worst, use even bullet points during the fray.
For as permission fade you can't go gentle into that good internet fight
So rage, rage against politeness on a forum site.

As a young kid, we moved around a lot, being a a military family, until we settled in Texas. Another one of my fondest memories was when we were in Massachusetts. I was around 5 years old, and we took a field trip to an apple orchard. The class went out and picked apples (must have had adult help, don't remember that part), and put them in woven baskets to bring home. I remember the crisp cool day, the smell of apple skins, dry and sweet, a distant smoky wood fire, sticky sap bleeding out of cuts in the bark, lightning bugs at sundown, beautiful smiling women, the crunch of leaves underfoot, an awe-inspiring amber sunset. Memory is a strange thing, I can remember that so many years ago, but what I had for dinner last night, forget about it!
That's interesting, because I remember very well what you had for dinner last night. It was good!
