Urgh Spur is so annoying I was probably annoying too. He was like, "Did you not hear about the free blitz testing" (I was asking about a test and like, well, it was just... I don't know if I will bother I was like, I refuse to pay 75 bucks for a public health test, sorry.) this weekend?" I was like, DUDE, I don't even want to hear your crap. When I filled out the questionnaire they were like, "You are too sick to test, consult your healthcare provider." Anyway, they are gonna call me to schedule an X-ray whoopee. He could not tell me if the ER like had the anti viral crud and like, etc. He was like, "You can call them." I was like, "Uh huh." He was all, "You should etc. etc. like it was all MY dealio. Anyway, I was just like "F it the radiologist reads the chest X-ray so meh. They will know better than this goof. Well he's not the worst, really I suppose he just COMES OFF goofy. Anyway he confirmed my iron was from low iron and asked me if I had had any source of bleeding" and I was like WHY YES and I had my blood tested for anemia JUST before this happened and it was fine, but like, then some dumb doc like decided to tank my TSH using a med that did not work, and it was like the red sea, every two weeks then YOU tested me and I was anemic. For the first time in my life."
I told him I couldn't take even the ferrous stuff, I tried and I would LOVE some iron shots and he was like, "Meh just keep eating liver if It is working I will test you in 2 months."
I guess I should go bathe here shortly and like whatnot. I suppose (Hope?) they will appointment me today.
He was like, "So I will do a follow up in a few days" and I was like "Uh huh." He was all like, "It doesn't sound okay to you." I was like, "Well it doesn't sound like I got much choice. I am okay with it anyway because I will have like um, Zithromax until then. If he wants to shove me on something else, well whatever. He kept going on about UTIs I was like, " MAN I DO NOT HAVE A UTI. I know where my lungs are I know where my bladder is I know what hurts."
Then I was like, "Nope.; You just try having your fever elevated for a month and see how it feels." Then he fed me some long story about being on oxygen like 5 canister worth, and in the hospital for a month. I was like, "Holy goodness well then have some empathy dude. Just because I am more of a baller than you (I have no clue if that was contextually correct as I have NO CLUE what that word even means but it "Felt" right to say it.") Then I asked when I should go to the hospital and he was like O2sat below 90 or fever above 104. I was like, "Hmm, that's already happened woulda been nice to know." Then, he like was like, "If it happens again, go."
And I was like "K great we done here, I am tired and well, I will be chatting In a few days, glad you didn't die... I think. I mean IDK maybe your coworkers are all cool."
So yeah, your typical Spur DO appt. He is calling me in more Albuterol I hope that stuff isn't addictive, but it seems like it's not.
I would go as I am FOR REALS but I don't want to go and be like, involuntaried for attempting to become "homeless." I'm really just a day or two of bathing away, I think.
Meh. Well, that's.... started. I was like, "REALLY? REALLLY? a potential covid patient and you don't read it rapidly C'mon"
That was my main real complaint and well,, bah. Rural care is rural care. You are not going to HAVE a nice doc you know being patient and answering your questions for you. You are going to get an airhead, probably IQ points lower from Covid himself, going "IDK IDK IDK."
