I've learned that a lot of good mixes just don't make sense flavor wise. One has to remember there's a big difference between vaping the flavors and eating the foods together.

Hang in there. With the last few weeks I had at work, a sort of ok day would have been pretty darn good. I got stuck in a bad loop for a while.

I now have 6-7 to mix tomorrow. That's enough. Running really low on ideas. My strange new flavors are only 1 week old now. Want to give them at least another week.

I made a 60ml batch of my finalized version of Pineapple Basil Rum Fizz, which I think of as a S&V recipe. I let this sit in the cabinet for about two weeks while I vaped my new favorite cranberry and pomegranate juices. I picked the PBRF up last night and was blown away by the flavor. The 2 week steep brings out the light spiciness of the Rums. The juice is delicious and my son thinks it is my best yet.

I know that most of you like the simple recipes but if you have the flavors and don't mind going 13.5% with flavors, try this.

    PINEAPPLE BASIL RUM FIZZ
    Basil (Flavorah) .50%
Jamaican Special (Jamaican Rum) (FA) 1%
    Light Rum (VTA) 1%
Lime Tahity (Cold Pressed) (FA) .50%
    Lime Tahity (Distilled) (FA) .25%
    Pineapple (Flavorah) 1%
    Pineapple (INAWERA) 3%
    Pink Champagne (FW) 2%
    SugarDaddy Sweetener .50%
    Sugarloaf Pineapple (VTA) 3%
    WS-23 30% .75%

I made a batch of this subbing Purilam Golden Pineapple for the INW and though it was very good, my personal preference is the INW. Either would certainly work well. A two-week steep made a huge difference!

I don't get it from Creme De Menthe which has ethyl.
I think it's something that happens when the strawberry meets the peach. I remember it always being there and I vaped it enough that I bought 120ml of the strawberry. And I don't recall it being in my Fuzzy Navel.

It does seem to be toned way down in this tank mix which would be under .33% of the smooth.

I so glad you found something you like so much. A decent steep can make all the difference in the world.

I changed a couple recipes yet again last night. Looking them over again this morning, they total 6. Not so sure about the Tangerine Cheesecake so I'll stick with 15ml on that one I think.

Rather than the lemon I would suggest using a small percentage of apricot or mango to give the tangerine a pop.

Mixed up a few for Meg and Mark yesterday. Using a premixed nic base made mixing go so much faster and less frustrating. Still haven't mastered mixing by weight, my drop method needs some work. LOL

It's hard to project how long juices need to steep for flavor maturation. Right now, I have 10 juices that have been steeping for various lengths of time from 10 days to 30 days. Some are good at the mix percentage and others have darkened and matured to the point where they are going to need cutting with unflavored nic base.

I find that average mix percentages are usually too high for me, so I start on the light side of the range. Right now, I have been using the HS Red USA Mix pretty often as it steeped toward the 30 day mark at 7%.

In some of my recent mixes below I decided to go with vendor recommendations and comments by user reviews. Most turned out too rich for my vaping taste.

Django's Bounty mixed at 20% turned really dark by the 30 day mark, but it's good for a squirt of sweetness in a tank of something else for a combination vape. My next mix will be half that %.

ECX Fired Cured Virginia worked well at 1.5%.

ECX Key Lime Pie at 11.5% isn't bad, but I'll cut it from 11.5% down to about 6% to 8% next time and work from there. At 11.5% it's a dark ice tea color and a little over the top, but nice. It's good for a flavor shot in a tank of something bland to add the Key Lime flavor. I can taste the lime, sweetness, and the pie crust, so it's spot on if you can find the right mix.

ECX Black Honey Tobacco is good at 11.5%. It's a clear Orange mix with a sweet honey flavor. Tobacco notes are slightly overpowered by the sweetness, but it has promise. I'll probably mix it at 7% next time and work from there.

ECX Sugar Cookie mixed at 14% smells just like sweet sugar cookies if you sniff the mixed bottle. Again, I'll drop the percentage next time to somewhere in the range of 7% and 10%. It's a little on the strong side, but a good flavor.

After not smoking for almost a decade my flavor sense has heightened to the point where I don't need much flavor to taste the mix.

Hubs has cancelled his long chemo session. He hasn't been feeling that great and just wasn't ready to be that sick.

My mixing session will go on

Thanks for your reviews:) I cut all my mixing percentages months ago when everything started tasting really overflavored to me.
