I store mine on/in this big think I like to call "notebook/sheaf of paper with raggedy edges of bits of paper sticking out."

It works out fantastic, I just have to look at it BEFORE I mix, so I don't get some sort of ink dissolving liquid on it, and write the CURRENT ONES down big enough to like, dry out and avoid splashes.

As to steeping/tasting it is HERE I shine. I RECORD myself (voice record) as I taste stuff, and like, THEN add it to the recipes that need it, so they don't get all grubby and whatnot.

It's just the painful extra bit concerning like, listening to my "notes to self' LOL as I write them down.

There may be a future for me in medical transcribing.... Maybe.

I'm just happy to be "high tech" in one arena, although to be fair the start of voice recording technology began in the twenties or prior even? So it's not really high tech but YES it works. LOL.

I have a regular sized note bool that you can pick up at walmart for a dollar or two. The kind that kids use in school. Since it is a running 'log' of my mixes the date is the key for these. I just add one after the other leaving a little room for notes and changes I have made along the way. I also put the date on the label of the bottle and when they are ready for a larger volume is when they can go on cards, or a computer, where ever you wish to keep them. Also each finished bottle has the date born, the mg, a name or combo of flavors listed and these are stored alphabetically by name. If I have room on the label I also list the pct of each flavor so if there are only a few ingredients, I usually don't even have to go get the recipe.

This is just how I do it....others probably have a much better system.

:)
Card file for keepers...great idea! TY:wub:

I received an order from amazon yesterday with the 2oz bottles I've been wanting along with some big syringes for vg and some smaller ones for flavors. I didn't have a chance to open them last night to look but I'm sure they'll be fine.

It's just a thing. I can't say I've ever tasted it in the strawberry but I figure something is oxidizing.
When something hits a color change I figure it is what it is at that point and anything else will be fading.

Smoked Plum has a lot of changes. My tester has almost no floral smells to it now. They were strong when fresh.
Sorry if I already asked but how long should I steep this.

There's been plenty of talk about storage and organizing flavors but I'm wondering if people also have a system for storing steeping recipes? Do you put them in date order or something like that?
Kicthen drawer. Newest in front for the juice. Pile of recipes that were in order at one point..........

Like Mel,I have organized chaos. Any keeper recipes go in a notebook and on my google drive (in case I lose notebook) LOL. Recipes mixed stay on the loose pages along with any notes I may have about needed changes. I don't mind looking though the papers for the one I want. Any finally making winner status make it into the notebook. The others get tossed.

My TFA Strawberry Ripe is almost gone and I really don't know about getting more. I'm not a strawberry snob and though I like it it's not my top fruit anymore. I have several Strawberries to use up,INW Shisha Strawberry,FA Juicy Strawberry,RF Strawberry,Cap sweet Strawberry,OSDIY Succulent Strawberry.
I'll probably just use up what I have but if you could only have one Strawberry,What would it be?

I am not gonna be much help as I don't have and never tried the INW, RF or FA strawberries, but as a stand alone vape OSDIY is the one in my rotation, (it replaced Caps strawberry), I use TFA strawberry ripe mixed with TFA strawberry in mixes. After being perfectly happy with these, I just never tried the others.

I'm still really liking this Strawberry Rhubarb Cheesecake with the HA Italian Cream.. It has a really upfront but not sweet fruit taste. So far my tastebuds are dealing with the upfront fruit taste, hopefully they will continue to do so.

Thank you:) Just curiosity mostly. I really need to use up what I have anyway before I even think of getting more. Since strawberry isn't my top choice of fruit anymore I always mix it with another fruit.

When I first started diy I had the organized chaos too but as time went by I just could not stand it anymore and started the notebook. I still think my best mixes are packed away(in a box somewhere) and hope to come across them someday. lol

Tomorrow is mixing day and I've only come up with 3 things to mix and none are new. I'm remixing my White Chocolate Cheesecake with Brie (adding kiwi). Then I'm doing a remix of a too sweet Blueberry Cheesecake. Lastly I'm mixing 15ml of Pam's Cranberry Gin and Tonic so I can vape it up while it's tart, hopefully.I have 3-4 other recipes written down but I'm not happy with them yet and the creative juices aren't flowing.

My NR order was just delivered; so now I have all my 4th of July purchases. I now have to update my calculator inventory, and then its time to do the organizer overhaul. Wish me luck!:D
    Much luck wished upon you:)

Sorry if I already asked but how long should I steep this.

If you don't like how it smells fresh I'd say at least a week, maybe two for it to not be what it smells like fresh.

It wasn't that long in the mix, the 15ml of that may not make it far beyond 2 weeks. My 30ml is almost at 1 week.

I've only used TFA Strawberry until now. It worked so I stuck with it.
