This is our plan for now. IDK exactly when we will leave but soon. Probably by the 10-11 of August, if we can swing it. My mother, who is lovely and helpful in some ways, does not understand our situation. She wants us to rent a moving truck because it is cheaper.

We want to fill and rent a shipping container for a couple of months, load it and have them ship it and store it somewhere. This is because driving a large truck across country SUCKS, and we are kind of in a situation where we don't know what we will do yet. Ted found some really cheap (and frightening) homes for rent but frightening doesn't scare me that much. The thing is, we are far more likely to get the kind of lease we need of Craigslist and/or scary down by the river listings, but you can't do craigslist EXCEPT in person, because there are many scams. So we are gonna drive, let the stuff be somewhere (I have no idea what I am gonna do with my nic, gotta figure that out.

Worst case we look a short term cabin/vacation rental (it's going to be too far from my work, that kind of rental I think though) and/or RV and campsite with enough amenities I don't HAVE to deal with a composting toilet etc.

So that is the deal. I guess. I will have to talk to my mom about it soon. Probably today. Maybe she can pay for the cheapest moving option and we like, deal with the rest of it SOMEHOW.

Once we get an offer on our house, we can make a contingent offer (it means, I buy if my house sells) but like, IDK those can be dicey.

But regardless I don' think we will need more than 4-5 months renting.

So we are gonna go. I think the husband is correct that like, well, we HAVE to do it this way. I consider it ALMOST impossible to deal with renting without seeing.

I hope that all made sense. Right now, I am gonna CHIIIIILLLL.

    Anna
Yeah, I think the shipping container is the best thing to do . I don't think I'd rent anything sight unseen so it is a good idea to get there as soon as you can to deal with it.

I cleaned out the ares 2 and wound my own 3mm 316 coil reading.8 ohms. Filled it with a new mix and I’m still not that impressed with the flavor. It’s better than it was but not great. I might have gotten spoiled from testing the Freemax kits. Every one of them had great flavor.

Probably air bubbles made it look that way, and then they dissipated.

I find this interesting. Walmart has 8oz Art Naturals hand sanitizer for $3.99 each. 62% alcohol.
Target has 8oz Sauve Hand sanitizer for $1.99 each. 75% alcohol.

Uh, did they flag the Naturals as "organic"? That often triples the price :)

I gotta post it again the FDA is getting all exercised about this. I get emails every day. Don't buy these:

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has identified products that contain methanol.

Substantial methanol exposure can result in nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death. Although all persons using these products on their hands are at risk, young children who accidently ingest these products and adolescents and adults who drink these products as an alcohol (ethanol) substitute, are most at risk for methanol poisoning

FDA advises consumers not to use hand sanitizer products manufactured by Eskbiochem

FDA is alerting consumers of Saniderm Products and UVT Inc.'s voluntary recall of Saniderm Advanced Hand Sanitizer. Following FDA's recommendation, two distributors - Saniderm Products and UVT - agreed to recall Saniderm Advanced Hand Sanitizer packaged in 1-liter plastic bottles and labeled with "Made in Mexico" and "Produced by: Eskbiochem SA de CV."

    • The UVT hand sanitizer is labeled with lot number 0530 and an expiration date of 04/2022.
    • The Saniderm Products hand sanitizer is labeled with lot number 53131626 and "Manufactured on April/1/20."
FDA advises consumers not to use any hand sanitizer manufactured by Eskbiochem SA de CV in Mexico, due to the potential presence of methanol (wood alcohol), a substance that can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested. FDA has identified the following products manufactured by Eskbiochem:

    • All-Clean Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-002-01)
    • Esk Biochem Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-007-01)
    • CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 75% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-008-04)
    • Lavar 70 Gel Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-006-01)
    • The Good Gel Antibacterial Gel Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-010-10)
    • CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 80% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-005-03)
    • CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 75% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-009-01)
    • CleanCare NoGerm Advanced Hand Sanitizer 80% Alcohol (NDC: 74589-003-01)
    • Saniderm Advanced Hand Sanitizer (NDC: 74589-001-01)
FDA tested samples of Lavar Gel and CleanCare No Germ. Lavar Gel contains 81 percent (v/v) methanol and no ethyl alcohol, and CleanCare No Germ contains 28 percent (v/v) methanol. Methanol is not an acceptable ingredient for hand sanitizers and should not be used due to its toxic effects.

Consumers who have been exposed to hand sanitizer containing methanol should seek immediate treatment, which is critical for potential reversal of toxic effects of methanol poisoning. Substantial methanol exposure can result in nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death. Although all persons using these products on their hands are at risk, young children who accidently ingest these products and adolescents and adults who drink these products as an alcohol (ethanol) substitute, are most at risk for methanol poisoning.

On June 17, 2020, FDA contacted Eskbiochem to recommend the company remove its hand sanitizer products from the market due to the risks associated with methanol poisoning. To date, the company has not taken action to remove these potentially dangerous products from the market. Therefore, FDA recommends consumers stop using these hand sanitizers and dispose of them immediately in appropriate hazardous waste containers. Do not flush or pour these products down the drain.

FDA reminds consumers to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after coughing, sneezing, or blowing one's nose. If soap and water are not readily available, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend consumers use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent ethanol.

FDA remains vigilant and will continue to take action when quality issues arise with hand sanitizers. Additionally, the agency is concerned with false and misleading claims for hand sanitizers, for example that they can provide prolonged protection such as 24-hours against viruses including COVID-19, since there is no evidence to support these claims.

To date, FDA is not aware of any reports of adverse events associated with these hand sanitizer products.

The FDA also recalled the following products:

LIQ-E S.A. de C.V. is voluntarily recalling all lots and all bottle sizes of The OPTIMUS Instant Hand Sanitizer due to the potential presence of methanol (wood alcohol) that were shipped into the United States. The products were manufactured between April 27, 2020 and May 08, 2020.

AAA Cosmetica, S.A. de C.V. is voluntarily recalling all lots of bio aaa Advance Hand Sanitizer currently in US distribution, packaged in 480 mL bottles, to the consumer level. The products are being recalled due to the potential presence of methanol (wood alcohol).

Soluciones Cosmeticas is voluntarily recalling all lots of Bersih Hand Sanitizer Gel Fragrance Free sold in 16.9 ounce bottles to the consumer level. The products are being recalled due to the potential presence of methanol (wood alcohol).

San Antonio, Texas, 4e Brands North America is voluntarily recalling ten (10) bottle sizes of Hand Sanitizers to the consumer level. The products are being recalled due to the potential presence of methanol (wood alcohol).

ITECH 361 is voluntarily recalling 18,940 bottles of All Clean Hand Sanitizer, Moisturizer and Disinfectant sold in one liter bottles to the consumer level. The products are being recalled due to the potential presence of methanol (wood alcohol).

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
    My eyes are tired!

    Vacation plans for 2020
NYC- some of you gave me advice in 2019- not going to happen

Savannah- we drove through 2 years ago.. Wanted to really spend some time there- not going to happen

Seattle & Portland - never been.. Not likely to every visit- YouTube tourist videos good enough

Ended up going to Oklahoma to see parents & our son his Wife + 3 kids.

Sister got wind of our visit.. Pretty mad at me.. So just before we got to mom's house we called them and told them we can go into the city get a hotel.. And just visit from the driveway.

They said No come home.. When we arrived I called them from the driveway & made same offer.. No offense would be taken if they weren't comfortable seeing us... Pops said come inside we can social distance in the house.. Which we did.. -oddly well. We stayed upstairs.. It has its own heat & air system.- no hugs no kisses=sad

Ps-change your home air and car air filter often.. No telling if you're breathing right back in what your body didn't want.

My shy of 3 yr old grand daughter has designated me as her human jungle gym & personal vehicle.

Son is Marines.. Semi working from home. Dil- home schooling the kids past few years.

We went house shopping for 4 days.. There is a gold rush going in small town America. So far we have lost 3 houses while we were "thinking about them" - avg hang time 3 -12 days. We found 1 last one while having dinner with the kids.. Fresh listing.. Called the r/e agent.. She got us a showing next day at 11am... Nothing special about the house.. Older. Clean..cop lives across the street. We drove by the house on way back to hotel.. Bunch of cars in the street. Next day the agent calls me at 8am.. House is in a bidding war.. Have offer in by Fri at 12. We told her to cancel the appointment. (A few brand new homes were near the same price.. Builders grade.. Which I don't mind.. No worries). - no decision yet.

90% of the people in Oklahoma did not wear a mask. We always had our masks with us.sometimes we wore them in walmart but not at family houses.

The same people I was watching in China are still video their local lives... But they have not been wearing masks for well over a month.

Local liberal news here in Houston..made a remark covd19 should be gone in early November.... (Hhhmmmm) knick name: covd19/DemFlu.

Florida stopped having deaths from cancer. Heart attacks.. Strokes.. Everything became covd19..

Massachusetts had in interesting data point.. Instead of avg elderly death at 80.. Covd19 deaths changed the avg age to 82. ??????

Part of me says I & we were played for political gain.. Part of me worries about video feed I saw in China early on. Did China do a decent job of killing off the people with the really bad strains of covd19? Or were people watching China do what they have always done.. Culling parts of their communities for whatever reason?

We know that older people.&. Anyone with health issues and also housed in a building with others raises death risk-sharing same air exchange systems. My husband has COPD and has been weak for years- so he is very much at risk. We wear masks when around large stores/groups- which is actually quite rare for us.-everyone should do whatever is in their best interest. My husband & I don't require you to wear a mask around him as we expect your understanding if he wears one around you. He likes his 10ft distance too.. So take no offense please.

Meanwhile.. Our governor blames a few people who went to bars (@50%occupancy) for spike in covd19.. Not the 70000 people who showed up for GF funeral here in Houston. (Every funeral I have ever been too involved a lot of crying &hugging.. Some laughter.. But nope that had no impact :pop:

Watching our politicians encourage or do nothing to stop the rioters is concerning.. I fully support the protesters.. The rioters are terrorists to me.

Soros busy trying to be behind the scenes president again.. He does this to different countries as he goes along.. Under the guise of helping the people regardless if they want it. If you really want to make a difference in any country.. Improve the way they view and treat their women and children. Women give life to the future..pick any 3rd world country.. Look at the treatment of the women &children- it tells you how ready they are for a free future.

August should be interesting.. What's next? Bombshell news from Epstein girlfriend? We all know that's an ugly topic spanning every country and political party. Strange chatter about Tom Hank's involvement. I dunno.. I can't find anything concrete.

Anyway.. If my posts breaks some rules.. I understand if you have to delete it.

It could also be seen as passive resistance. Or, fatigue. You breathe in 3x as much Co2 as normal especially with those crap homemade masks that don't work. Some people do not believe in masks, and provided they practice SCRUPULOUS social distancing, I don't really have an issue with it. (The dumb ones are just dumb and don't.)
It's the illogic of it that gripes me: if one is wearing a mask, it takes little wit to realize it needs to cover both the nose and the mouth to be effective. I'm sure some people with exposed noses are just giving themselves some respite, but I suspect others somehow think they can't catch anything via the nose--when, from what I've read, the virus has more to latch on to there, since there are more ACE-2 receptors in the nasal passages than in the throat.

The kinds of masks most of us are wearing may well allow individual virus particles to pass through, but they still act as barriers to the droplets of spit and snot that encapsulate a lot of those particles.

The protection I find pointless is gloves. You can't absorb the virus through your skin, anyway, and the particles will still collect on the gloves. You're better off just not touching your face and washing your hands.

I agree. Never saw the point of wearing gloves.

Is the Are 2 at least easy to build on? I had high hopes for this tank. I was hoping for idiot-proof and reliable since I am new to RTAs.

Getting frustrated with my coppervape hussar project x. It has such good flavor, but the tolerances are so dang tight I just about threw this thing at the wall. I'll vape the tank I filled and then shelve it.
I had a horrible time with my Project X at first. Could not, could not, could not take it apart. Ended up mangling the ultem tank a bit with some pliers. Then I thoroughly lubed every o ring, per @ShowMeTwice's great tutorial, and it worked pretty smoothly after that.

Never had a tooth pulled, this'll be the first.
You will be fine. It really and truly isn't too bad, and you'll feel such relief when the tooth is gone. Even if it's not hurting you right now, having a chronic infection isn't so great for your system in general. You might even start feeling better overall once the sucker is out.

It is very easy to build on. The stock coil was 3mm so I made mine 3mm. I’m running the inside airflow open and the outside open since I like an airy mtl. I’m only running at 12-13 watts. I run the same coil on another tank at 18-20. If I turn up the ares then the vapor gets pretty warm. Maybe I’ll try the other tip.
