My very first phone was a soap bar phone with an antenna that pulled out. After that I had a Motorola flip phone. My first smart phone was an android and it was a piece of junk. I made the switch to an iphone 4 and then to a 5, and then a 7. Now the SE. I usually just buy whatever is on sale or the cheapest model. I don't care about having the latest and greatest. Every iphone I've had has lasted a long time except for the 7 and I blame that on the non factory screen replacement.
I have nothing against Iphones, just a personal preference for Android due to my familiarity with them. Apple always seems to make quality products.

I can say the same thing about android. I have nothing against them and am sure they are good products. The iphones were a good choice with multiple macbooks and ipad in the family.

Shadav, do you mean the Asmodus Thor mod?

If that is the one, Daniel Forsyth in the Shiny thread always has really good discount codes for their mods/gear. Lemme know and I'll ask him to tag you with a code.
thanks but na it was the think vape thor, ft had it for $20, so figured it was worth a shot at that price :p

    Aww :wub::wub::wub: thanks @Skeebo @FranC
I try to be a positive person as much as I can even in the face of some really crappy stuff/life events. Seems sometimes the world is seemingly crumbling around you, but what can you do except move forward in the march of time? It still sucks though, but i think there is some Buddhist proverb/lesson about "good" and "bad" stuff that happens.. I think it's basically good can lead to bad, and bad to good and everything in between.. and to not get hung up too much on good and bad things.
You are one of the most Positive people I know.

One of the many teachings in Buddhism is non attachment. Using your words, this would mean not being attached to either Good or Bad. Or an outcome. Or happenings. Being neutral. Balance.

Many think Buddhism is a religion. I don't, IMO it is psychology. A woman I know who is a psychologist, 30+ years, says the same.

There is also a Lakota teaching about "walking the red road". Other Native American tribes taught the same.

Both teachings mean the same, Living in Balance. From what I know of you, you are a balanced Man.

Good luck with Java. You got this!!! :D

I didn't know so many of you are into video games.

Last time I played one they took tokens or a quarter. And you had to go to the arcade place to play.

And it isn't like I'm some ancient one either. I'm only 60. BTW, by ancient I do mean the 100 and up Club. As I get older I move that number by 40 years out in front of me.

I enjoy playing Chess and it IS very difficult finding a real "live" person who actually sits across from you to play against with real Chess pieces. I do play on my iPhone or computer but that isn't the same! :D

I've noticed that a good number of people on ECF, VU, POtV and ELR use their same ID across other online sites. o_O

I spent much of my life in large-scale corporate IS/IT and that is a big time no-no. Devious types know this is what many people do. It makes their task much easier. There are crawling bots nowadays. ECF gets hit by bots 24/7/365, https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/online/?type=robot .

Wonder how many use the same passwords across sites too. These days my PW's are a minimum of 16 randomly chosen characters, numbers etc.. ;)

I also know people who refuse to change the default passwords on their home routers/gateways and other home networked devices. Kind of like leaving all your doors and windows unlocked.

Ya can lead horse to water... blah, blah, blah. :D

So then, DIY... let's mix!

Heavens, I sure wouldn’t worry about what you wish to call me. I’m very sure I’ve been called worse.

    Show me Thrice?
Not even close. Clue, it contains no swear words.

There is one person on ECF who knows and she will never say. And no, it's not any of the usual folks. She only posts in the Lounge.

Well it's only been a day but so far so good. It's definitely faster than my iphone 7. It was nice also that it fit in the same case as the 7 so I didn't have to buy a case and when I checked out the guy gave me a $50 gift card. I didn't see a promotion on the website so it must have been a non advertised special or something.
You will get a good chuckle out of this AND please do.

This is my very 1st smartphone. I am very much a newb with it.

Drove my wife, family and friends nuts for years by not having one. It reminded me too much of the pager and corp cell I always carried.

Still not convinced I need it. But it is pretty cool. :D

I’m sure I can get a laugh.I got my Ist smart phone last year because my little flip phone died and Dd has no home phone. Nobody ever calls me so it just sits and goes dead before I think to charge it. Bah
