I had a maple tree in the front yard that got out of hand, it's gone now.
Side note: 74 years old and just got my first cell phone, wife has had one for about 20 years. Cancelled the land line which was giving me problems, due to covid they wouldn't come into the house.

I have six trees in back and those two viburnums in front. The dogwood is dead and it’s coming down after Christmas and I’ll get them to remove the viburnums as well. I usually use pine straw for mulch but next spring I’m thinking about using wood mulch or whatever you call it in front. I want no to low maintenance. Tired of spending my time with stuff like that. I’m tempted to get all the trees cut. Today my son and I are picking up sticks and trimming low hanging limbs before I cut the grass. Trees cause a lot more work for me.

The Chanticleer pear tree we have in the front got way bigger than it was supposed to be. It grew right up to the house on one side so last year I got the pole saw and a ladder and cut basically a straight line up that side to get it away from the house. I’m not very confident on ladders ever since I fell and broke my foot but I can do a little. I even thought about climbing the tree from the inside with a hand saw but don’t think that’s a good idea.

For example, I've been experimenting with Sucralose as a sweetener with my DIY.

At 1% Sucralose, my coil and wicking was turning black within 24 hours. It was that bad and I've heard of upto 5% being mentioned around. But at 1% it's really sweet, 5% would just be disgusting.

Might want to give erithritol a try? Similar sweetness profile, and ime it does seem to gunk less.

I picked up a couple more small Rubbermaid style containers yesterday to put coils and stuff in. I filled one and have one left. I like my wife’s idea about getting a second cabinet. I’m just going to wait until I come across the right one.

My youngest daughter went and bought a printer yesterday for her apartment at college and had me on FaceTime for a long time last night. The apartment has public WiFi without a password so the printer won’t connect to WiFi. I ended up ordering her a wireless router so she can set up her own private network. Also she hasn’t been able to use her google mini for the same reason.

A pole saw is what I need and I could probably do most of this tree cutting myself as they don't even require climbing. I do a lot of things I never thought I'd ever do...but chain sawing is not one I'm comfortable with whatsoever. I'll leave that to the professionals. Dad said he could do it but I'm too hard headed and independent for that and I hate to ask for stuff from him as he's not in the best health...although he just cut down one of his own. He's a wild man and you will never slow him down.

So I just bought two more Geekvape Zeus X Mesh RTAs (one in wine red and one in green...I didn't have those colors and I love them) and some mesh and cotton packets to get to $80 so I could use the save10 coupon. Since ecigmafia is having a vapetasia sale, I also picked up their Killer Kustard, Strawberry Parfait, KK Lemon, KK Strawberry, and KK Honeydew. They have 100 ml for $3.99 and some 120 ml for $3.99. I'm excited to finally try it.

That's neat! But my dogwood has very few limbs and it's a tallish lanky dead tree...it just needs brought down but no climbing required. The viburnums I could do myself...but I don't know what to do with the pile of debris. I'll gladly pay for someone to do it for me. The stumps on those need ground down since they are on front. Always something to do as a homeowner! I'll be using loppers for the low limbs. Or my son will. :pervy: I guess I better get started. I can finally see the grass slowing down. Alabama football plays at 2:30 and I won't miss it.

@hittman , it's never too late for you to adopt me. I'm just saying..... Your girls have a great dad!

Oof that was a fun time. The husband rented a car because he is paranoid about taking mine because my registration is like, expired and stuff.

I just did a Sufi or otherwise like, um sort of prayer to protect me, my loved ones and all my stuff and my mom did some thing where she is supposed to be protected- - herself and all her ancestry, like, 7 generations forward and back, so like, I don't worry that much and it seems to include in laws. Seems to me we are doing just fine.

Anyway, the car rental place did not have a vehicle and not only that, scolded the husband for his "after hours" rental I mean come on, there are electronic ways to keep track. Meh. So anyway like, after an hour went by he was like, "We are going to drive there." I was like, '"Uh okay so that sounds like a bad plan." Enterprise was a HIVE of activity but no car for the husband, etc. So I was like, honey.... (He is pretty dang miserable) just.... take this car. So he did.

So, we'll see how that turns out. I told him if he ran into difficulties to like, run to a hive of "black lives matter now that we are commies" people, and he would be safe... if he kept his mouth shut. I warned him very clearly what would happen if like, he began discussing the crud he discusses and etc.

I did my part, I hope he returns safely with his "pain meds." It's just me and the dog. Dog wants to be outside because that is where his favorite human is a lot of the time but I better check on him every now and then to make sure he did not go popsicle. It's not THAT cold it just FEELS that way to me.

I am kind of thrilled to have a day off the husband this apartment is TINY. :Gah.

In any case, having one car is great! Especially as you are trying to get it reregistered in AZ! And then here! And DL so we can buy a house.

My flavors were at 50.60. I decided I would add another couple flavors and I did and I magically got free shipping. But, I am glad I did it that is an excellent sale.

I woke up NOWHERE near like 4 am this morning but the way I see it? It's not really..... It's gonna suck whenEVER I do it, whenEVER. And as to the flavors I probably saved the husband 75 bucks (50 bucks with vehicle taxes) to go get his medication. Etc.

I think we will both live. Next week I am requesting we deposit the check.

    Anna

Those are neat! That scorching spit back is horrible! I could probably make a round mesh thingy to stick down in my drip tips. Or lay a piece of mesh over the entire coil. I'll come up with something. I just spent more money on RTAs and I need to get more nic. I vaped the entire 30 ml yesterday! WOW! This mesh drinks the juice...but now I'm spoiled to it. Love my mesh!

That is a really good deal on the eliquid. Even if you don't end up liking a couple of the flavors, it still comes out pretty cheap.

When a discussion on spit back begins I always like to mention that I am a survivor of the Vector RDA by VLS. I think there are only 3 of us in the whole wide world.

The metal drip tip was also useful for making Yoruba tribal marks on the lips. Good times!
