Having a hard time with Provaris.
My purple mini has a sticky fire button which doesn't pop back out. I soaked it in contact cleaner, that's worked in the past. It worked this time but only for a couple of days. I found what is supposed to be the same button that Provari used on Ebay for $12, with instructions on how to replace it. Might give that a try. It would take some precision soldering that's beyond my previous experience though.
My blue full size wouldn't work at all. Finally figured out there's a piece missing. Where the battery positive meets the board there's a piece of plastic with a notch cut out for the battery button. Looked at another Provari, there should be a metal clip that fits over the plastic in the notch and goes down to the positive contact on the board. I was using that one not long ago and it was fine. The metal clip must have come loose and fallen out. Searched my desk but the piece is smaller than a match head. I might be able to make a replacement if I take the board out. But it also has a messed up screen cover and the paint is peeling off, it's so crappy that it started dissolving when I cleaned the threads with alcohol.
Always figured Provaris were the
mods I would be left with when all the others had died.
