So sorry to hear that. How's she doing today? Any better?

She is better today. My wife did a Walmart run and brought home this kids ball they sell cheap at Walmart and the dog was running and chasing it but she didn’t last long before needing a rest. Big improvement over yesterday.

    Hi guys,

I need to bend the ears of some expert DIYers. I have a whole bunch of si for varietal cigar leafs and wrappers from juice Cabin which I have not enjoyed very much. They taste like linear, non-complex slightly bitter tobaccos and I think having not smoked for a long time has seen my palate not be so inclined to enjoy these type of dyed-in-the-wool tobaccos.

Having gotten into DIY I figured this would be the best opportunity to bring to life these tobaccos with sweeteners, koolada, custards and vanilla, hereby collective referred to as (“enhancers”).

I mixed most of the enhancers at about 1% , using just one enhancer in each juice. I also mixed some at 2-3% just to see what would happen at the upper end of the range. I even mixed TFA cotton candy at a whopping 5%.

now here is where my journey with DIY has become perplexing and expectation gap has been wide.

I was expecting these tobaccos to sweeten up into delectable sweet concoctions that would be much more enjoyable to vape. I figured the tobacco would mute and soften a little and become less sharp and pronounced.

instead what I got was mildly sweeter off tasting tobacco. Even ethyl maltol at 5% just had a weird off sweet taste. Capella vanilla custard at 3% also didn’t diminish the sharpness and bitterness of the tobacco.

I was expecting sweet and super sweet from Capella and TFA to really give the juice a sweetness but they didn’t have that effect at all.

I am beginning to learn that you can’t transform a juice you don’t like into a juice you do like with the enhancers. What I don’t understand is why the juice didn’t taste significantly sweeter, particularly when I used super sweet at 2-3% and cotton candy at 5%.
I'm not sure what you meant by "si".
There are far more experienced mixers here than I. But, in my experience, if the primary flavor is unpleasant to me, then any sub flavors or enhancers don't stand a chance.

I have FA mango and I think I read it isn’t the best.

Never got one; HIC says it's "unripe mango," which to me means sour. :D

The only mango I ever tried was Deej's mango--it was good. He made very nice fruit flavors.

I didn’t feel like building so threw a coil in a Zeus nano tank and am trying the Almond croissant recipe. I forgot there was custard in it. It’s pretty good. However, I’m sure it’s too sweet for Fran.
Is it balanced, or are you getting more custard?

I get mine in a couple of days. They opened it up to everyone above 16 or 18 in Missouri.

I can't even begin to describe how relieved I felt when I finally got my invitation for my vaccine shot. Get-out-of-jail free card!

Does anyone have any experience with my older mangos?? I have FA mango and I think I read it isn’t the best. I also have TFA Philippine Mango and FE mango.
You probably got a reply already, but I have FA Mango. Nothing wrong with it. Very similar to WF Island Mango. But it just doesn't have as full and bright a mango flavor as the Island Mango. At the same %, FA seemed a little weaker, but very similar. One other person I gave some e-liquid to said the same thing.

You don't get a sour/unripe note from FA Mango? HIC's notes are old and he has a sweet tooth. :)
