Good afternoon :)
So I've been so out of the loop the last year or so.. there's no danger or impending doom to flavorings right?
Last I looked Fran & hit had a corner on the market.
CAPONE & DILLENGER OF THE FLAVOR TRADE ..................

:shock::confused:

When I received my last BCF order I setup 5ml SFT's for Amarula, Lulo and Vanilla Cookie. I likely won't SFT the other new FA's I received. Those can be mixed straightaway into mixes.

I've been dripping Lulo most of the day. I took an immediate liking to it. In fact I added a 30ml bottle to my BCF cart. It has a very pleasing tropical fruit taste to it. Having never eaten a Lulo I can't say if it's accurate or not.

So what does it taste like? Let's start with what I am not getting based on SD's review. As an orange lover I certainly don't taste any orange at all. SD mentioned celery, but in the context of it's watery juiciness. Lulo has that kind of juiciness. I taste no celery in Lulo.

The juiciness it offers is useful. In fact this would work for adding a moist juiciness to mixes at low %'s very much in the way INW Cactus does. Lulo has what I would call a light, to perhaps, a near mid level of sweetness.

On the inhale I taste something like what I might imagine a very very light tasting pineapple would be like but minus the incredible sweetness of a pineapple.

There is an 'almost' kiwi like note but it has none of the tart like a kiwi has. I do get a very light lime note on the exhale. I taste an almost pear like note but it's more of the creamy part of a pear, not the main pear flavor itself. Lulo is not quite pear.

My best guess of what a lulo tastes like is... combine the taste a very light 'light' pineapple (minus the heavy sweetness) with slight kiwi and lime like notes with the creamy part of a pear and that's FA Lulo, IMO. It has a nice mouth feel. There is nothing floral in Lulo. I did not taste any off putting notes.

Having said all that, taste is very subjective, so, YMMV. I would absolutely recommend Lulo to anyone who enjoys tropical flavors.

It's not a strong, or a bold, flavor (in the way a raspberry is). I can see lulo being used with many different fruits. IMO, lulo would work well in bakery, dessert, ice cream and perhaps with green tea.

Well... that got longer than I planned, o_O, oh well. :D

If it can bring the juiciness that cactus is supposed to bring without the taste that I dislike so much and can perceive even at tiny percentages, then this is a flavor I must try.

Later . . . I just read on Wikipedia that the flavor can be "described as a combination of rhubarb and lime." And it's in the nightshade family!

Lulo is not at all aloe tasting like cactus is for some. I do think that lulo will become the 'juicy' additive for those who disliked cactus.

As far as flavors go, the only one I see who might be in danger is Flavorah. FLV to this day markets its flavors for vaping. IMO that's a huge mistake on their part.

The other companies flavors are used to greater degree far outside of the fairly small vaping market.

Banning flavors that are well entrenched in the multi billion dollar food and beverage industries will never happen. Restricting sales to consumers won't happen either. The flavor industry is massive, very massive.

ETA: There are many flavor companies most folks have never heard of who are top players in the industry. They make the likes of TFA, CAP, INW, FA etc. look like small time operations.
