Uncle, my response is with great respect and love. You may disagree, and I'm totally ok with that. You may agree, fine. I offer you the facts...
And there is some truth to what you're saying
There is a great deal of truth to what I've stated. It all comes from an army of doctors, specialists, endocrinologists, who have educated me.
However, does that mean there is no "Heredity" factor ?
Type 2 diabetes runs in families.
In part, this is due to children learning bad habits—eating a poor diet, not exercising—from their parents. But there is also a genetic basis.
Is type 1 diabetes hereditary? We are also unsure about whether type 1 diabetes is hereditary or not. While 90 per cent of people who develop type 1 diabetes have no relative with the condition, genetic factors can pre-dispose people to developing type 1 diabetes.
That anyone with type 2 or even type 1 diabetes are just lazy and slovenly eat everything and anything - eat too much . . . They do not watch what they eat or maintain a healthier diet throughout their life . . . That Diabetes is not a disease, but one that is man made . . . REALLY? ? ?
I never said folks with T2 are lazy and slovenly, you said that. Here is what I will tell you. Medical facts state that...
The differences between T1 and T2 are wide and varied. By far they are not the same thing, at all. I am sure you know that. Fact is, the majority of T2's are overweight, eat poorly and don't exercise. In contrast, T1 body types are very different looking.
Also, with T1's the pancreas dies, completely, no insulin production at all, after what is called the 'honeymoon phase' where the remaining insulin is used up.
With T2's the pancreas
does not die or lose it's ability to produce insulin. I could point you to some articles that explain the details.
Per my army of doctors, and I tend to go with what they say, after all as the experts they would know...
Type 2 diabetes, as it stands today, is largely man made. Poor dietary habits, portion control and lack of exercise... bottom line. It is well documented in medical journals.
Just had this conversation with my doctor today. He's an endocrinologist who specializes in diabetes with decades of experience. He, and my other specialists, emphatically state that people with Type 2 can cure themselves by eating properly and exercising. The fact that they don't, points to, yes, laziness. Sorry, but that is what they tell me.
Oh well, it's nice to know I can blame myself for becoming and staying a diabetic .
Hang on Mate... I never said you were to blame for your diabetes. What I have stated is what my army of doctors told me. They're the experts. Most of them have been doing this for decades... they would know best. Based on their collective experience, far better than you or I.
I am confident that you know each person is very different. T1, and the reason it happens... is very different than T2, and the reasons it happens. Any doctor, worth their weight in gold, will state the same.
