Oh heavens, gross. I could never eat that. For me, remove all but one slice of meat, one slice of bread halved, fine, add some raw veggies, perfect, plus room temp water. Then again, I won't eat pastrami. Small portions, for a meal work best for me.

I don't eat unless I am hungry. Humans don't need a breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in-between and after meals. America has a major eating problem and it totally shows. That and sugar(s). ;)
Some people eat to live others live to eat.

I had a doctors appointment earlier today. Funny, we were talking about this very thing. Those who live to eat are the reason for record numbers of type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and a host of other unnecessary diseases. The problem is, they don't know how to eat proper foods or healthy portions. Take type 2 diabetics, if they would learn to eat properly and exercise they could eliminate their type 2, completely.

I don’t see the overweight problem getting any better in these parts.

It's a toss up for me, if I don't eat a lot I look sickly (145 to 165). If I eat a lot my insides turn out.... I weigh 185 now and still look skinny. I think it's because of my autoimmune disease.

    It kind of sucks really.

Is diverticulitis similar to Crohn's disease? I have a family member who has dealt with Crohn's for several years. She can have some pretty miserable days.

I have an autoimmune disease. In 2017 they diagnosed me as a Type 1 diabetic. I very nearly died, twice. It is very rare for someone so late in life to get T1. It is normally diagnosed in much younger people. I am also unique in that my body has a pretty rare sensitivity to the insulin's. I require multiple daily shots, two different insulin's. My pancreas is, well... dead, it no longer produces any insulin. Strange thing is no one on either side of my family ever had diabetes (T1 or T2).

If there is one thing I've learned more than I ever cared to know about it is diabetes. I truly wish I had type 2 diabetes, because it can be eliminated completely with proper diet and exercise. Type 1 cannot be eliminated.

I've always been a skinny guy who's had trouble putting any weight on. I hang right around 145-155, no matter what. Today if most people looked at photo's of other people, pre 1970's, they would think those folks were sickly. Skinny was the norm. Larger was not, unless they had some medical condition.

I think they are somewhat similar in some regards, not sure though.

Thanks Fran. I’ve been using the croissant base plain but was thinking to add .5% ssa guava to 10ml of it. What do you think?
When I made my guava croissant pastry I used 0.5% SSA guava and 0.25% SC lemon. The lemon was to brighten up the guava. It was a light and tasty mix. I think it's in Zazie's blog.

My first husband was type 1. He was skinny also. Fatal heart attack at 46. His father was type 1 skinny guy too but lived much longer. His younger brother got type 1 as well.

They checked my A1C today. Was 5.4, which is considered normal people level. My endo specialist has had me experimenting with different amounts (units) of the insulin's. Experimenting in that, I am to work out what works best for me. He used to be on the staff at RCP (Royal College of Physicians) London before taking a position at the medical college here. Good guy, smarter than a whip. Last time I took Carli in with me, he wanted to meet her. He and his wife have since bought a GSD puppy. Showed me pics today, gorgeous male, beautiful mask.

Have you tried Bio freeze? If it is arthritic you could try Voltaren.

Not arthritic. I just pulled something at work a couple days ago.

Ok, y’all ready for another question? What are your favorite fruit combos (2 or3 flavors).

Off the top of my head I like grapefruit/cranberry, boysenberry/raspberry, black currant/bilberry.

Pizza and BBQ. Those are fruits aren't they/

Crohn's disease involves the small intestine whereas diverticulitis is in the colon.

Which cone caused the dump? I’m not a good judge of lemon ATM . After burning out on it I really don’t have it back good enough. If I do put it in a mix I don’t use much at all.

In my ice cream base I don’t add in the cone because I don’t always want it. If I want a cone I add the flavor in my mix.
I make, and leave, ice cream base as is. When I want to add a cone or something else I pour 10-15mls in another bottle and then add whatever flavor(s). Works best for me. And there are times when I like vaping the ice cream as is.
