I was diagnosed HIV+ in 1995 with a t cell count of 23, so it was AIDS. Luckily AZT (medication) was very effective for me in the early days and I was able to survive long enough to see the release of less toxic antiviral therapy.

No, Type 1 isn't horrible at all. Maybe it is for some. When you get it at an older age many of the things that can happen, like with a younger person, won't happen (like amputations), as long as you stay on top of it. My doc has a few patients who, like me, were diagnosed late in life, none have had any of the bad stuff happen. One is 88 years young, diagnosed at 79, and she manages it very well. It was scary at first cause I nearly kicked the bucket. The people who attack it judiciously manage it the best. I refuse to let any dumb dis-ease ever get me down or whatever. Like you, I'm a fighter.
Work today was horrible. I truly wish I had stayed in bed today. I'm glad it's over now. On top of work sucking today, my Jeep is back in the shop since they didn't find the problem last time. I get to drive the filthy work pickup home again. I'll see how I feel later. I might give it a cleaning inside.
Looking through my notes there are many that worked nicely as combos. Some favs: pineapple/mango, apricot/apple, banana/strawberry, papaya/passion fruit, strawberry/watermelon, mango/passion fruit, pineapple/papaya.
I should really try something with pineapple. I have an old 10ml bottle of FA Pineapple I don’t think I ever used. I do have the new FA flavor. I don’t think I have anything against it. I’ll have to do a mix ,

The original FA pineapple is a strong flavor. About 50% like it and 50% hate it. I like it, never went over 1% with it. 2% is considered very strong. I have both of the new FA's, Pineapple Costa Rica Special and Pineapple Kenyan Special, I like them.
VT Sugarloaf Pineapple is really good. INW pineapple is also really good. In my last BCF order I bought SSA Thai Pineapple but still need to test it.
I need to check mine. Every time I turn on the blinker a deluge of windshield wiper fluid squirts out. Betcha it's the air pressure in the front tires. Stoopid car.
I appreciate your stamina and resiliency to maintain a healthier life style. And there is some truth to what you're saying . . . However, does that mean there is no "Heredity" factor ? That anyone with type 2 or even type 1 diabetes are just lazy and slovenly eat everything and anything - eat too much . . . They do not watch what they eat or maintain a healthier diet throughout their life . . . That Diabetes is not a disease, but one that is man made . . . REALLY? ? ? Please tell that to my great grandmother, grandmother, mother, sister, brother, an aunt and uncle (all on the maternal side of the family and who died of Diabetes complications) . . . Oh and then there is "Me" . . . If I am lucky enough, I eat 1-2 oz of cheese and some fruit, or maybe yogurt & fruit, possibly a couple of eggs for my first meal at 11 am . . . Can't really eat anything during the rest of the day without getting "sick" (have to take Zofran) - until about 8 PM when I have maybe 6 oz of Protein and some vegetables . . . Oh well, it's nice to know I can blame myself for becoming and staying a diabetic . . .That the problems I have with my kidneys now and that I will be on dialysis is because I could have avoided diabetes if I watched what I ate and exercised more . . . Oh and as for my heart conditions that was supposedly that was inherited too (Father & Mother) . . . Just Sayin' . . .
