Katz's is great. But, when I was a kid in NYC there were many hole in the wall Jewish deli's which were great too. Long gone. Those storefronts are all chain pharmacies and bank branches. Stinks.

Did I like it? I loved everything New York. I lived there for 5 years--I was young and unafraid and the world was my oyster. I loved the food, the Sunday edition of the NYT, the museums, the music, the theater, the tempo, the people, the Sunday brunches, the subway, the Central Park, the Cloisters.

Did I mention the food? Never had a bad meal in NY. Pierogis and sauerkraut on the Lower East Side, meatball sandwiches in Little Italy, Chinese takeouts, blini and caviar in the Russian Tea room, tea and delicious finger sandwiches at the Plaza (with the violinist), smoked sturgeon from Barnie Greengrass, H&H Bagels, Nova lox from Zabar's, salami from Balducci's, warm chocolate cookies from Macy's basement...

I love and miss New York--and always will.

At the bio supermarket....yes it's that kind of day
I'll definitely do some mixing at the weekend. I have to reinstall windows on my wife's laptop too....it's been giving her some problems for quite a while. It may be new laptop time but we'll give this a go first

@Katya I think what everyone was trying to say is that for most people type 2 is preventable with a healthy lifestyle

The problem is, they switched to USPS (for US orders), and USPS is going to stop shipping e-cigs sooner or later. And then what?

What a mess.

The stuff was being delivered by usps already. I’ve ordered a lot from them and everything always came in my mailbox. The difference was they were using a different carrier to bring stuff into the US and then it was being delivered to usps for final delivery.

Unfortunately, it's not just America. Obesity is quickly becoming a global menace--abundant food, sedentary lifestyle. Since fewer and fewer of us have to walk for miles to gather a basket of berries or chase a hare for dinner as our ancestors did for millions of years, we're gaining weight. Are you familiar with the thrifty gene (or the later drifty gene) hypothesis? Quite fascinating, at least on paper.

Besides that, the hoards of fast food restaurants and packaged foods with stuff that no one knows what’s in it constantly tempting people doesn’t help. I’m not preaching. I could stand to eat a lot better myself. I am mindful of what I eat but could be doing better.

Lol... I was a champion diaper changer back in the day. Desitin was like paint... I can taste your post.

Good morning everyone. Wifey and I are off today, together. She's back on the road next week, Illinois.

I'm going to take her to her favorite breakfast joint later and savor the day. Perhaps I'll bypass the chicken and waffles platter and just have the blueberry and lemon pancakes.
