Well, I survived and made it to another Friday. The machine that made my day yesterday hell is picked up and gone. That's a relief. I'm hoping for a much calmer day today.

I've got the SMT pudding mix to try this weekend and maybe one or two more. I never did get my other two tanks cleaned and rebuilt last weekend so hope to get that done this weekend. I've also got to get going on a review that is due on the 22nd.

I have a few different coffee flavors I have yet to test/try. Ive been taking my time with them. One that I would like to mix today or Saturday is WF Brazilian Coffee, I'll mix it with FA milk.

Rain is trying to show up. IF they got it right (Wednesday 'cast said coming in Thurs night, Thurs cast says Fri night...) We have had a few drips so far, but looks good.

Off the top of my head I like grapefruit/cranberry, boysenberry/raspberry, black currant/bilberry.

Peach/pear, peach/apricot, watermelon/dragonfruit/honeydew.

Nonsense. And you know it, Uncle. Diabetes type 2 is a terrible disease, as you obviously know, and there's no cure. Yet. Yes, it can be managed (meds, insulin, diet, exercise), but it won't just go away. Unless it's caught very early only on or is developed suddenly, after a rapid weight gain. The only type 2 diabetes that usually goes away by itself is gestational diabetes. The sad fact is that most people diagnosed with it have to be under strict medical supervision for the rest of their lives--even if they change their habits, diet, whatever, and even if their disease goes into remission. Not unlike HIV.

And yes, there is a hereditary component to it, and genetic, and ethnic, and cultural. They all play a huge role. Bloody genetic lottery.

Just to clarify, I was making the same "argument" in response to "SMT" earlier post, sadly not as eloquently as you have . . . I guess "My" sarcasm didn't translate as well as I had hoped . . .

Your endocrinologist told you that "people with Type 2 can cure themselves by eating properly and exercising"? Are you sure he's an endocrinologist? Board certified?

Unless he was just being sloppy or making a very broad generalization, he needs to do some reading on the subject.

Well, I know one who won't. I live with him and he happens to specialize in pediatric exercise, obesity, asthma and yes, obesity.

There is no known cure for diabetes. Only management--under medical supervision.
