As long as I’ve been mixing I’ve never done a pie. Maybe I should. I have the OOO pie crust and I have a Graham crust also I think.
The Aggies aren't playing this week. I'm going to watch my alma mater the Texas Tech Red Raiders get beat by Oklahoma.
So how does one normally put a pie recipe together?
Yup. My sister lives a short walk up the street and my mother lives any even shorter walk around the corner from her.She lives close by you?
So you’re pretty close to familyYup. My sister lives a short walk up the street and my mother lives any even shorter walk around the corner from her.
Yes, and glad of it.So you’re pretty close to family![]()
About the same as putting any kind of cake mix together. So how does one normally put a pie recipe together?
My excuse is I’m not big on cakes either.About the same as putting any kind of cake mix together.
Apple Pie example...
Pie Crust:
OOO Pie Crust 2% (I've been warned against going higher)
WF Croissant 1% (will help to boost the pie crust)
Fruits:
PUR Country Apple 1.5%
plus one of these:
FA Fuji 0.75% - 1%
FA Apple (Stark) 0.6% - 1%
I will include theses in my apple pie:
FA Liquid Amber 0.25% - 0.5% (gives any fruit a baked taste)
TFA Brown Sugar 0.75%
A vanilla 0.5% - 0.8% (vanilla is a synergist in bakery recipes)
Optional:
FA Walnut 0.5% - 1%
FA Butter 0.5%
Do you mean you don't like vaping cake mixes all that much?My excuse is I’m not big on cakes either.
YesDo you mean you don't like vaping cake mixes all that much?
I’m not big on eating them either.
That must be why they smell so strong even with the caps on.A one shot is normally mixed at a high percentage that is often noted on the label.
That must be why they smell so strong even with the caps on.Just checked the labels and there is nothing suggested or any percentage written on them.
I'll start with one drop in 10mls and go from there.
What are you waiting for?Never made a pie from scratch.
Well from what I know about you, it seems that you have lived in quite a few different regions of the country. I would imagine you could pull off a Hillbilly/Boston accent.
