The Aggies aren't playing this week. I'm going to watch my alma mater the Texas Tech Red Raiders get beat by Oklahoma.

Aggies are my favorite college team this year. I usually always change my teams for college football, and it's always a team that beats Alabama.

So how does one normally put a pie recipe together?
About the same as putting any kind of cake mix together.

Apple Pie example...

Pie Crust:

OOO Pie Crust 2% (I've been warned against going higher)
WF Croissant 1% (will help to boost the pie crust)

Fruits:

PUR Country Apple 2.5% - 3.5% (Golden Delicious)

plus one of these:

FA Fuji 0.75% - 1% (more like a tart green apple)
FA Apple (Stark) 0.6% - 1% (Stark Yellow Delicious apple, sweet)

I will include these in my apple pie:

FA Liquid Amber 0.25% - 0.5% (brings a baked taste to fruit)
TFA Brown Sugar 0.75%
A vanilla 0.5% - 0.8% (vanilla is a synergist in bakery recipes)

Optional:

FA Walnut 0.5% - 1%
FA Butter 0.5%

My excuse is I’m not big on cakes either.

Nom Nomz gave me two 10ml concentrates with my order.

    Split & Mix Caramel Base
    Split & Mix Cream Base

I never heard of Split & Mix. Did a little searching and the only thing I could find was this on Nom Nomz facebook page.

I never had any one shots before. They both smell good. I do like my caramels and my creams. Not sure how much to use. I'll start with a couple drops in a 10ml and go from there.

That was pretty nice of Nom Nomz.

A one shot is normally mixed at a high percentage that is often noted on the label.
That must be why they smell so strong even with the caps on. o_O Just checked the labels and there is nothing suggested or any percentage written on them. I'll start with one drop in 10mls and go from there.

    Somewhere between here and there

Every one shot I’ve tried has recommended 12-20%. The SuShots I got are 15%.

Well from what I know about you, it seems that you have lived in quite a few different regions of the country. I would imagine you could pull off a Hillbilly/Boston accent.

Ironically a lot of my photos from Boston has been coming up on Facebook memories this week. We lived in Whitman and we had a loft that was once a shoe factory in the 1930's. It caught fire way back then and a lot of workers perished. We lived on the second floor and every night at midnight it sounded like someone was moving furniture above us. I complained to the office and was kind of shocked when they told us that loft was their file room and no one lives in it.

I felt bad for this guy:

This is a channel leading to Buzzards Bay. The current was so strong and I remember that boat really being on the gas and hardly moving.
