We have had flooding and more rain coming. Thunder/lightning was so strong it overtook fireworks and scared the dogs last night.

Poor pups I didn’t hear any fireworks last night. I guess the fourth is more popular here……and warmer.

Funny you should mention that.Dd just posted two old pics on fb of the tree that destroyed a good part of her house.

My son finally made a good smoothie. He used frozen bananas, fresh strawberries, frozen fruit mix from Aldi with mango/strawberries/peaches/pineapple, protein powder, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. No funky taste and it’s really good.

Morning, mixers, and happy new year!

Nope, no sleeping in, and didn't stay up. Just turned the calendar page before going to bed around the usual time.

Overnight low was, uh, 16, but 21 now, before sunrise. They were talking about going up to the mid 30s today, so maybe they got it right. But since it started "warming" up before the sun, I suspect their other part of the guess - sunny - may be in error. Nights don's usually get warmer unless cloud cover moves in...

Happy New Year! I made it until 11 but right when son got home I fell asleep. Mom is making a traditional southern New Years Day meal with turnip greens and other stuff. I’m slow moving today. Storms expected later and then tomorrow is a huge cool down. I’ve had my A/C on or the window open this entire “winter”. I am not looking forward to cold temps.

Apparently he saw the infusion as something different. Or maybe he got sick enough that he didn’t care.

I think he didn’t take it seriously until he felt terrible then couldn’t get it quick enough.

I just watched a bit of the news and supposedly the sleet has made the roads icy. They don’t recommend traveling so I won’t. They said the storm front moved north some so we may not get as much as originally forecasted. It’s still going to be really cold with a low around zero.

I watched the first episode of the Book of Boba Fett on Disney plus. It was ok but not fantastic. I don’t really feel like watching more tv so might go organize a little and maybe mix something.

I really doubt it. He has been really hardcore against the vaccine the whole time.

There are still three holdouts in my office who won’t get the vaccine. And they are the three who also do not properly wear the masks if at all. Just cocky about it and I stay away from them. My big boss filed for a religious exemption. Not sure if it was approved. The mask mandate was continued for the foreseeable future in our business. I’m tired of this mess and wish everyone would do their part to end it. But nope.
