Very simple recipe in keeping with the KISS principle.
@Zazie, please and TIA.
Chocolate Milkshake
MB Milkshake 3.5%
VTA Milkshake Base 0.5%
VTA Chocolate Mousse 2%
VTA Chocolate Base 1.5%
I steeped it for 30 days. YMMV.
The base is the first two flavors. In chatting with the good folks at VTA I found out the best use for VTA Milkshake Base is as an additive in a mix and at a lower percent than I was initially using it at.
MB Milkshake and VTA Milkshake Base create an excellent, nearly perfect, milkshake base. MB Milkshake has a really nice creaminess. It also has a fairly light vanilla note. The malt taste from both flavors steeps out after 3 weeks leaving a very nice milkshake base.
Chocolate Mousse paired with Chocolate Base gives it more of a milk chocolate flavor. And this mix would also lean that way with just the chocolate mousse (due to the milkshakes). I wanted it to be more 'pronounced'.
The chocolates could be left out for a very generic milkshake base. A vanilla, and/or a custard, could be added for more of a 'nilla shake base. Then any fruit, or medley of fruits, could then be added.
A bakery note (cake, cookie etc. etc.) for more complexity and texture could also be added. There is more that could be done with just the base. Like other dairy, creams, nuts, coffee or yogurt (ones use of imagination is the only limitation

).
