I have got to make some unflavored today. That counts as DIY and helps me fit in here. Right?

I would not like that at all either. Poor Izzy. Bless her little heart. How is she doing?
    Of course you fit in.

Good morning. I think we’ve all made mistakes when mixing. I use my phone to look at recipes when I mix and have misread quantities before while mixing.

Today’s the last day before the boss returns. It’s been nice. He goes again in a couple weeks.

I got my three new Solos over the weekend from Vapesourcing. In some ways they seem a little hokey. On their order page they have you fill in all your details, card and so forth. Then they go off to check your age. When it comes back from the age check all your card details have disappeared and you have to enter them again. They don't send any notifications, not even an acknowledgement of your order. No tracking. On the other hand the order got here in less than a week, and they have great prices. It just makes me nervous when I press the button and nothing happens until it arrives at your door. They have one thing I've never seen anywhere else, if you go to their site and look up the order there's a box you can check to confirm that you got the package. I guess it's less bother for them that way round.
    That is really strange.

I know I’ve made mistakes before.

    Good morning :)

Springtime, 27°. :D Could be the last of chilly weather, but maybe not, who knows, we've had decent snow in April. S'posed to be 50's and 40's starting Wednesday.

Been mixing all morning. Regular ADV's. Also planning on mixing some new ideas today.

Glad to see you back. Yes, new ideas are much needed. I need to work on some also.

You’re weather sounds just like ours now. We at least have a bright sunny day.

Figured out a TC problem. Some of my tanks were making loud pops and crackles. That turned out to be wicks that weren't tight enough in the coil. I was going easy on the wicks because it's harder to get a tight wick through a SS coil without bending it.
Good to hear you are getting TC squared away. :thumb:

Another thing that will help to prevent loud pops is making your spaced coils with the winding's close together. Coils will pop loudly if they are more widely spaced (pooled juice is the cause).

Here is a photo of one of my coils. It's a 26g SS316L 2.5id 8 wraps at 0.5Ω (TEMCo wire). The deck is a Kayfun lite 2019.

ETA: If you look closely, you will see juice pooled up between some of the winding's on the left and in the center. That's normal for spaced coils. When I take the first hit after the RTA has been sitting a while there will be one pop, that's normal. After that no pops, just the normal crackling sound you would hear from any RTA.

A bit warmer in the mid 30’s for today. By tomorrow we’ll be back to our normal cold 40’s and 50’s.

Today is our warm day for the week near 70. I am thinking about doing my first mowing of the season tonight. I'll see how I feel when I get home.

We had just one low 70’s day but it was very nice. I’m wishing another would sneak in but not yet.

I’ve noticed for some time now that it seems to be a must to have fruit in my mixes. Also it must be enough fruit to taste well.
I have written a recipe that looks good but has no fruit. I’m pretty sure I won’t care for it without fruit and I have to decide which way to go.

I usually like fruits in mine too. I haven't gotten any further on trying my untried fruit flavors lately. I suddenly have three reviews pending and more on the way. I'm very much liking the croissant base with the ssa guava.

I like SMT’s three flavor croissant mix with guava. I have a mix waiting on an empty tank.

A few days ago I tried one of my new mixes. This one was only for the purpose of trying three of the newly released flavors.

    CAP Custard Cake 3%
    SSA Clotted Cream 1%
    SSA Peach Sweet Type 1%

I do like the new flavors. None is off-putting.

SSA Peach Sweet - firstly, it is not any sweeter than any of the other peach flavors I have. It is an excellent, juicy and fresh tasting yellow peach.

SSA Clotted Cream is another solid cream flavor. I can see using it in several recipes.

CAP Custard Cake - hmmm, not sure why they added 'custard' to the name. There is no custard flavor to be found in it whatsoever. It is a really nice cake flavor however.

This would be a good recipe if I had SSA Peach at no more than 0.5%. For me, at 1% the peach is too strong. But that is not out of the ordinary for me. Some years ago I burnt out on peach flavors. When I started using them again I found 0.5% max, many times less, in any mix, to be full flavored.

You’re going to be very busy with reviews.

I agree on the cream and cake. As far as peach goes I burnt out on it years ago too. Still can’t vape it.
