Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today?

The maintenance men are coming back today to fix my kitchen drawer and replace my toilet. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon to follow up on my sleep apnea.

I don't know which makes me break a sweat quicker, these temps or the thought of my next electric bill.

We are on a level pay plan where they average your use over a year and your bill is the same amount every month so it's easier to budget for. The one I'm dreading is the water bill. Our water is already expensive and I've been having to run the sprinklers quite a bit. I looked at the 10 day forecast and it isn't going to get any better.

    Morning, mixers.

Well, contrary to expectations, yesterday's rain north decided to be rain south. Steady drizzle most of the day, a bit over 1/4" total. Maybe the grass will get shorter today.

Ditto, but those thin-nozzle squeeze bottles are less messy--at least for me.

Likewise. "Needle" tip plastic works for me as well.

Harford County Maryland water bill last quarter, $151.24

Ours runs around $120 a month when I'm not watering. With running the sprinklers regularly I've seen it as high as $250. KC got in trouble several years ago for not having proper run off I believe. They have had to update a bunch of underground lines and stuff and have passed the cost onto us.

    $120 a month, mine averages about $50 a month, maybe I won't complain.

Similar here. Average around $110 - $120 quarterly. The weather might not be the greatest here, but there are advantages to having the Great Lakes nearby.

Edit: I don't water the lawn. I'll water the flowers, but the lawn is on it's own.

Ours used to be about $90 every two months until KC got busted by the EPA. Then they started billing monthly and it gradually went higher and higher and seems to have leveled out now. On average we are paying about three times what we used to for each month of water.

I don’t remember if I mentioned it before but my boss pays this cleaning crew to come in every other Thursday. They do a poor job and really get on my nerves. They’ve been here two hours and had to come in to sweep my shop while I’m on lunch. Normally they vacuum the carpet leading into the shop and that’s it. I get 30 minutes for lunch and would really like a little peace and quiet. If it was me I’d fire them for as poorly as they do.
