My Daughter-in-law just had their house sold out from under them and they had a heck of a time finding another house to rent since they need a BIG house (bunch of people there). They finally found one for $2700/month. Per Month. And you have to sign a year long lease. That's over double our mortgage and they get nothing to show for it, like paying off a house does. Lousy credit has killed her and prevents her from buying.
Cripes! I just found out my rent has gone up another $75 per month. I want to move but it looks like there's no place to move to. I've made initial inquiries about getting pre-approved for a mortgage, but there's no houses really to be had either. I guess for now I'm stuck here, but if I can get pre-approved for a mortgage, I can snap up something when it comes available.

Real estate is a mess. We've been trying to find a smaller house, one-story, nothing under a million bucks--and those are fixer-uppers. And no inventory at all as of late.

I have two young children, just starting their adult lives--I have no idea how they will ever be able to buy a house in SoCal.

Could you send them over to my house when they are done? My house needs a million little repairs--nothing critical, but all annoying little things.

Sorry, they weren't able to complete either project today. They have to come back to my place tomorrow.

As scarce as the housing market is here, the only house listed above 1 million was a 10 bedroom, 10 bath mansion.

So how do you refill your tanks? Those droppers I have with my glass bottles are a pain.

Good luck trying to fill one of these new tanks with the gasket over the fill port using a glass dropper. Really makes a mess.

They could move to the Midwest. At least you can find one under a million. We have a couple in our neighborhood for sale. I think one is 375 and the other is 399.

I don't think there's anything in Vegas for that much. Ours is not a big house and it's worth about 500k.

If I run into a problem, I have the new pippettes Zazie posted plus I have syringes.

Our taxes are paid through the mortgage company. I’m not paid off yet. Hopefully in another 3-4 years.

We're still in our first house, 40 years later. Over the years raising a couple of kids, we contemplated 'maybe sell and get a bigger house'. We never pulled the trigger, because we absolutely love this neighborhood. It's an actual neighborhood in every sense, and not just a subdivision. So we rode it out, and it was finally paid off (about 10 years ago). Next, the kids got their own homes, and viola! It's the perfect size for the two of us! Now, I'm glad we decided to stay put.

In 3 or 4 years, when you pay it off we can both have our 'old man yells at cloud' moment when we get our tax bills.

I just received my 22 summer tax bill in the mail, yesterday. After the initial sticker shock, and a few profanities, I compared it to 21 summer tax bill.

It had gone up $50 lol. I guess that was my 'old man yells at cloud' moment for the day.

My home insurance just doubled. Our car(s) insurance went up too. Everything is going up and up and up. Wherever you look.
