    Take your green tea.

I'm surprised. I didn't crash. I did however get upset with the body shop guy that still doesn't have my daughter's car finished yet. It's starting to feel like one excuse after the next. If it's not ready by Thursday then I will call State Farm and they can call him. They are supposedly a preferred repair center. It's not really seeming like it to me.

I took the wife to the ER, she's sick but I don't think it is Covid. We'll see.

I hope it's nothing too serious.

Strep throat, which is what I figured so we dodged a bullet there. I took a prescription to the pharmacy and will get it later. Antibiotics.

I’m surprised you went to the ER for that. You must have better insurance than I do.

I'm glad to hear this. Not that strep is fun, mind you. But Covid has the potential to be so very much worse.

Yikes! Covid still sucks. I'm exposed weekly to it. The place I work at has a covid unit again. The people seems like they have a bad cold with this variation of the disease. However, I don't want to get it again. I'm regaining the smell/taste and that would set me back...again. It seems like the covid vaccination did the same.
Hope all is well for you all. I'm going to take a covid test tonight. Feeling like crap so like to rule it out. At work I get tested once weekly.
I've been using this recipe for pickles.

I have to ask I had covid about 3 weeks ago lost my sense of smell and taste virtually completely on the 6th day to the point that I thought that I was brushing my teeth with face cream or something because I couldn't taste my toothpaste. And that's gotten a little bit better like I can taste salt vinegar and sweet and I think if you were to puree chicken and apples I would be able to point to which one was meat and which one was apples now which I don't think I could have two weeks ago. How long did it take you to get your sense of taste and smell back or start to anyway in like a meaningful way? And did you try to do anything to get it to return like I hear some people are smelling really strongly scented things and it helps. I am absolutely still shattered from covid.

I wonder if concentrated flavoring smelling would help LOL. Maybe vaping can save my taste and smell

My blackcurrant meringue mix is almost 3 weeks old now. Tastes different every time I try it. I have a big tank full and take a hit once in a while. I've heard it steeps faster in a tank because of the small quantity and getting warmed up. It has vanilla and cream so it might take a while to get there. It has a faint but growing background taste that I suspect is the meringue. Sweet and pleasant. The one shot I was trying to copy has the same taste but a lot stronger, I've been taking back to back hits on both of them to compare. I used 2% meringue, maybe up that next time. Or try other brands of meringue. The one I have is TFA.

Been making progress in the war on the hornets. Their nest was underneath a mess of vines and weed trees in an old flower bed. First time out they got me twice between my tee shirt and trousers. Since then I've been sneaking up with a rake and quickly pulling out some vines then run. They only got me one more time, one of them bit me on the chin. It was a sharp pain but none of the redness and swelling, maybe the beard stopped it getting a good sting in. After 2 days of that I got enough cleared out to see their nest entrance. Last night I went out after dark and pumped some white powder called Apicide in the hole. Today there were still a few coming and going but nothing like before. The powder bottle said it might take 2 or 3 days to finish them off. My neighbor recommended pouring gasoline in the hole. Maybe if the powder doesn't work.

I never like killing things. But I really need to clear out that flower bed and they weren't going to let me do it. They were all around the house too. My wife got bitten without provocation a couple of weeks ago just opening the back door onto the deck.
