I have to ask I had covid about 3 weeks ago lost my sense of smell and taste virtually completely on the 6th day to the point that I thought that I was brushing my teeth with face cream or something because I couldn't taste my toothpaste. And that's gotten a little bit better like I can taste salt vinegar and sweet and I think if you were to puree chicken and apples I would be able to point to which one was meat and which one was apples now which I don't think I could have two weeks ago. How long did it take you to get your sense of taste and smell back or start to anyway in like a meaningful way? And did you try to do anything to get it to return like I hear some people are smelling really strongly scented things and it helps. I am absolutely still shattered from covid.
I wonder if concentrated flavoring smelling would help LOL. Maybe vaping can save my taste and smell
A 16 year old relative had a very mild case of covid and recovered in a few days. 3 months later she completely lost her taste and smell. It started coming back after a month and she said she was all good after 3 months. The doc told her there was nothing they could do and she just had to wait.
From what I've heard it can be anything from a few weeks to many months. Far as I know they haven't figured out what causes it or how they can help recovery. Could vape some peppermint. One of the tricks people recommend for vapers tongue is sniffing strong coffee grounds. Maybe that would help.
