Good morning EveryOne

Twenties today then well below zero for Friday and then up to 40° Saturday!!! Like... huh???

Took Carli for a nice long walk early this morning. Was nice to resume normal outdoor activities after that Arctic Blast kept us indoors.

Just finished recoiling/rewicking a few rba's. Vacuuming and some cleaning is up next.

Sorry to hear of bad shoulder. Sucks.
It's been like this for over 20 years. Around 2002 I got a cortisone shot and the lady doc put the needle in straight down into my shoulder and it really did the job for at least 10 years. But ever since everyone wants to go in my back below the shoulder and they do nothing. I've begged for them to do it the "old" way but they won't so I quit going. Thankfully it doesn't act up very often.

If it is effecting your customer that badly then it should be mentioned to your boss. Even if he does nothing he can’t say you didn’t tell him.
If the boss does nothing he's not a very good boss. It's literally his job to handle stuff like this. I know Hitt has a long time there but stuff like this would make me look for a new employer - with your skills it should be easy to find a better job and maybe more money.

I spent some time cleaning out all the expired food from my mother's refrigerator. I don't think it has had anything thrown away since my father passed in 2020. She had multiples of things like sour cream. It gets shoved to the back and forgotten, then she buys a new one. She also likes shopping at Sam's Club, which is ridiculous for a single person. I figured out that Walmart has the same prices and you don't have to buy in bulk. I filled 4 trash bags full.

If the boss does nothing he's not a very good boss. It's literally his job to handle stuff like this.
Especially being that it's his business. If he cared at all about his business, the customers and the bottom line then this would never have been an issue. From what Hitt has said, his boss sounds like a very moody guy. Bosses like that are "difficult". I would never tolerate that. Would be gone in a heartbeat.

It is an excellent time for employees looking to switch places of employment. Currently employers have to offer more than ever before. Signing bonuses, higher pay, flex time, more vacation time and better benefit packages - all of those are on the table in today's job market. And all are negotiable, employers expect it.

I have no doubt that I could find another job but most companies don't pay as well for what I do. Not to mention the company vehicle.

He is moody. He is an ok boss most of the time but has never been a good manager. He hates confrontation with employees and any time I've complained before about someone in the last 25 years then he tends to just make excuses for them and never says anything to them. I've learned that I'm better off not going to him most times. There has been one time in 25 years that he actually acted on a complaint. I've decided that I will do my job and order everything I need without going through the purchasing guy unless its unavoidable. I have thought about switching jobs but my boss does treat me very well financially and I have a company vehicle which most people in my position don't get. It would have to be just the right job for me to make a switch. Also, as much as I complain, I do like the type of work that I do. As I get older I think about doing something a little less physical but have a hard time imagining myself in a sales position.

I almost forgot to mention that this morning I got an email from the purchasing guy wanting me to do an estimate for one of his customers that had received a new machine freight damaged. I can't tell you how tempted I was to sit on the quote for a few days to get him back but I'm just not like that. I went ahead and wrote the quote and gave it to him.

I think you are simply releasing that which needs to be released. Healthy venting. We all need to vent from time to time or our heads might explode. :)

Sounds like you are happy there. Getting a company vehicle is a very nice perk.

My gd’s hubby is a furnace guy and a good one. He got tired of his job a few months ago cause he was always on call. He took a totally different job in a filter place. He liked the job but it wasen’t long before they figured out there wasen’t enough money. He took another furnace job a few weeks ago, a competitor of the job he left. They gave him a company van on his first day.

A quick hello in here. I can't believe how rusty I am in building coils. I tried to build one coil over the weekend and failed. Of course it was a kanger tank. Small. I think I will find a RBA in my stuff and try again.
Hi man, no worries ! A few builds more down the road and you will be on track again !
