    Somewhere between here and there
Was it a mistake, or was your coworker being unethical?
It was a mistake. The guy that took the order didn't know they had been used some since they looked like new. Either that or he forgot. It wasn't on purpose I'm sure. The customer was one of our biggest accounts and no one here would want to make them angry.

Yep. With a decent die-off the planet will rebound. A warming planet creates the perfect petri dish for newer, and far more deadly, viruses. Over half of known pathogenic diseases can be aggravated by the same. Meanwhile the species of planet Earth are in for a wild ride, the likes of which have never been experienced before. Could have been averted. Shame.
I remember in the 90's when global warming first got to be a thing the antis denied the earth was getting warmer. The internet was plastered with fake satellite pics showing the arctic ice sheet getting bigger every year, and families of happy polar bears cavorting on the ice. Then they backed up a little, maybe the earth was getting a little warmer but it was due to the sun's normal cycles. Nothing to do with human activity. And what about the unusually cold weather in Tazmania. Some "scientist" wrote a paper about how CO2 from volcanos caused ice ages. Now they accept that maybe the earth is getting a little warmer and CO2 may be part of the reason. But they stress that "many scientists" don't think it's real, and the ideas for fixing it are actually a plot to destroy America.

Now, like you said, it's too late. Maybe a thousand years from now the remaining humans might talk about a time when neo-luddites managed to gain power just long enough to destroy the earth. Or maybe they will blame vaping.

Guess I'm having one of those days.

Sad thing, this was all predicted by scientists decades ago. I feel bad for the future of my children, the children of others and their as of yet unborn. I feel terrible for all the animals. And nature (as we knew it). There is nothing natural about what we are experiencing. At.All.
Yeah, it's sad. We will be long gone before the real bad stuff hits, but our descendants won't have the kind of life we had. Don't think they will be too pleased by what we left them.

But they stress that "many scientists" don't think it's real,

Funny thing, "those scientists" only equal 2% of global scientists. That's very telling and laughable.

The other 98% of global scientists and climatologists are in 100% agreement about the "cause and effect" of what we are witnessing. In fact the 98% stopped debating about it some years ago when they reached what's known as a scientific consensus. There is no denial among critical thinkers.
