Funny thing, "those scientists" only equal 2% of global scientists. That's very telling and laughable.

The other 98% of global scientists and climatologists are in 100% agreement about the "cause and effect" of what we are witnessing. In fact the 98% stopped debating about it some years ago when they reached what's known as a scientific consensus. There is no denial among critical thinkers.

I'm not saying if you are right or not, but just remember that the vast majority of scientists once believed that the earth was the center of the solar system. One who was politically incorrect to state otherwise was Galileo, and he got excommunicated for saying so. We all know how that turned out. There are more modern examples, like the use of estrogen to prevent heart disease. Scientific consensus doesn't always equal scientific fact. You always got to keep an open mind.

    Somewhere between here and there
I got in a workout tonight and mixed a bottle of Julia Su’s orange tart recipe. I used to love it and decided to give it a break last year then forgot about it.! I’ll give it a few days to steep but plan on filling a tank this weekend.

I got a couple new review samples tonight. The Ursa baby pro. It’s a square pod device that’s supposed to have some nice features.

I truly appreciate your reply Terri. And I think this makes for a good healthy "Random" discussion.

While I love and appreciate the revisitation of history, respectfully, none of that has anything to do with the scope and magnitude of the problem our planet and all living species are currently experiencing.

This is a problem that is unnatural and the cause is not something supernatural. The cause is very well understood around the globe by experts who no longer debate this. There is no hoax or conspiracy. Nor is this issue political in nature.

The vast majority of humanity is in agreement with what I, and others here, have said about the problems we are experiencing. With each passing day climate change denialism is becoming increasingly untenable. Those who hold that position are in an ever increasing minority bordering on extreme isolationism.

It is no longer possible to deny the 98% of global scientists and climatologists who have proven the "cause and effect" over decades.

The scientific consensus on climate change truly equals scientific fact because it is solidly backed by decades of undeniable scientific proof. Proof that is well documented, fully understood and widely accepted.

Humanity is witnessing the effects daily. Living nature, of all forms, all over the globe are experiencing the effects daily. Our planet is in turmoil.

What matters most to me, as it should with every member of humanity, is we collectively have a major problem on our hands. This is a problem that will not correct itself. And it cannot be reversed to some earlier time in Earth's history. Currently mitigation is the best solution.

I would like to understand your thinking on this. Do you deny what is happening globally on a daily basis? How do you explain what is happening?

What is happening globally is climate change. The debate is whether it is man made. Humans have only kept records of a tiny fraction of the earth's climate history. That is like coming to a conclusion based only on a couple of data points. Yes, a vast majority of scientists agree it's man made, but the point of my previous post is thar science isn't an election. Facts are not determined by vote. Sometimes it is the minority that can be enlighten with the truth. As for my opinion, I'm not drawing any conclusions one way or another, but try to keep an open mind. I do think it is unwise to wreck countries' economies trying to stop a tiny percentage of the CO2 emissions without addressing the biggest sources of emission, like China and India. Whether or not CO2 causes climate change, putting anything into our atmosphere isn't good.

The debate is whether it is man made.
72% of Americans are no longer debating this. The scientific experts are no longer debating this. The known scientific facts have already been established, are well understood and very widely accepted around the globe that climate change is caused by humans.

Humans have only kept records of a tiny fraction of the earth's climate history.
The global temperature record goes back 5.5 million years.

Yes, a vast majority of scientists agree it's man made, but the point of my previous post is thar science isn't an election. Facts are not determined by vote.
With climate change, voting numbers are not on the side of deniers. They represent 28% of the population. 72% are not in denial.

Sometimes it is the minority that can be enlighten with the truth.
I don't see where the minority are helpful. To date they have merely offered denials and have failed to acknowledge and accept the problem. There is no enlightenment of truth coming to our aid. This problem sits squarely on the shoulders of humanity.

I do think it is unwise to wreck countries' economies trying to stop a tiny percentage of the CO2 emissions without addressing the biggest sources of emission, like China and India. Whether or not CO2 causes climate change, putting anything into our atmosphere isn't good.
Mitigation efforts ≠ wrecking the global economy. Especially when one considers Earth is our only home. We are not discussing a tiny percentage of CO2 emissions. The numbers are considerable. China and India have enacted plans to address their CO2 emissions.

Science has already proven CO2 contributes to climate change.

CO2 is only one of several climate change contributors. There are multiple contributors driving climate change.

As for my opinion, I'm not drawing any conclusions one way or another, but try to keep an open mind.
That's basically stating you've turned your head away from a storm that's already upon us and hoping it just goes away on its own. I'm not understanding how you are unable to draw any conclusions when presented with undeniable scientific facts.

@ShowMeTwice I did not like your little syrup mix at all yesterday. This morning it is showing much improvement. It is borderline too sweet but a big overall taste improvement. I still find it amazing how much some mixes change so much just sitting in a tank overnight.

I have no plan for today. I need a plan.
You can come to work with me and help out. We have a person off today so it’s going to be chaotic.

As far as the climate change thing goes, I believe it but don’t feel like arguing about it. Each person has a right to their beliefs and opinions. I have seen shows where they talk about things like co2 recovery systems and things to pull pollutants out of the environment but don’t know how effective they really are.

I’d actually love to help you if I could.

I agree about the climate change. Arguing is useless.

Gates has put a lot of money into carbon capture. Frankly, I’m less worried about the planet warming than I am about micro plastics in the water column and food chain. The planet is going to warm; that’s inevitable; there will be a lot of work fixing that; but, how the whatever are we going to clean up all the chemicals and plastics that are already in every living thing on this planet due to bio degradable materials?

Happy you are seeing an improvement. :) I notice the same with some mixes.
