Finally tried mixing by weight. Yes, y’all were right. No, you don’t HAVE to say you told me so :oops:. Made 7 mixes in nothing flat! I finally have enough flavors for recipes with none missing on elr. I picked ten with multiple five stars and written responses. Fingers crossed for some keepers!

I have a scale I use for shipping small items but don't know if it would work for weighing liquid. I'm not sure if it's precise enough. I don't know that I'm ready to make that move anyway.

That one looks a bit nicer than mine. I think I paid $20 for it.

If, you are comfortable measuring using some other method, there is no need to change. Weighing your recipes isn't going to make them better.:)

If you are considering your postage scale... do make sure it has a resolution of 0.01mg capability. 0.1mg (or higher) is just not sensitive enough for small DIY batches. It might be okay, if all you mixed was ≥500mL batches. But, for 10, 15, 30mL batches; 0.01mg is really the minimum resolution you want, in order to recognize individual drops of concentrate (often weighing 0.02-0.04mg/drop).

I have one other problem also is that I have an iPhone and iPad and I don’t think the App Store has any ejuice calculators.
That is certainly something to consider. Perhaps an online calculator (like ELR), that offers weight, could be a work-around... if you wanted to try. :)

I use ELR on my iPhone. A piece of cake! I never used any other method than mixing by weight. It just made sense to me when I started DIYing and read up on the different methods.

Maybe we can trade a few flavors. What have you got that you don't want?

Thanks, Pam! There's bound to be something, but the majority of my favors are unknown to me (newbie). Still need to get around to testing them and trying new mixes before I ditch any. FYI, my Cheesecake Base #3 & Custard King still have NOT been tested yet... Yeah, it may be a while.

How do you get ELR to show weights? I don't see that option.

    Sure,why not. ?? That's a good idea.
They’re both strong flavors. Should I add marshmallow or pb to soften/fill out the profile? Or both?? I think I’ll go with low/median % on the granola and rum raisin. Need advice out % for the secondary flavors. What do y’all suggest?

Sorry for my bad arrows and circles, I’m using an iPad also, lol.
