Good evening random folks. It's been a couple of days since I've posted but I've been busy, between work, Germanfest, and the house. The contractor came out today to dig trenches for all the utilities and he ended up cutting the internet cable to my mom's place. She's upset because she doesn't have TV. The cable company is coming out to fix it tomorrow, so I'm gonna call them in the morning and see if they want to run a line to my place at the same time. It would be a lot less work for them to do it at the same time. The idiots who merged the house the other day forgot to leave temporary steps AND they forgot to take the ac unit out of the house. Fortunately, it is 2 inches smaller than the doorway so it will be able to be removed, but it is harder than if they had done it right. I was going to move smaller items now, but I can only access the house via stepladder.

Ugh, the IRS deducted my tax payment from my account twice and now I'm overdrawn. I spent 30 minutes trying to navigate the automated phone system without getting a real human. I finally called the it's tax advocate and got ahold of a real person. She transfered me and I was put on hold for a long time, and now the call was disconnected.

Later: it's been one headache after another. The mortgage company set my due date for the 15th of the month, which is the worst time for me. I can change it later, but will have to make the first payment in May. I was hoping to have until June 1. It's gonna cost $1400 to repair mom's internet and the contractor is only willing to pay $400. It may take up to 6 weeks to get cable service at my place. I never could get ahold of irs so im gonna have to pay $30 to stop the payment. Im expecting to hear flak from them in the future. I'm sure there are other problems that will arise.
