Sorry to muck up this thread. I'll start a new on in the tank forum. Thanks for the replies here.

Huh, didn't notice any mucking. Dragonfruit is, to me, anyway, pretty smooth. And at 70%VG, can't blame any harshness on the PG!

I'm with Fran, maybe start (restart?) with a simple single strand coil around 1 - 1.5 ohms. Wet thoroughly before final assembly, and start around 8 watts to give it time to settle in. Getting comfy with the "simple" coils first. While 35 watts may or may not be needed for that clapton, that much power will vaporise a LOT of juice, and maybe it's just the massive amount that's shocking your system.

And in general the higher the power applied, the more air you need to cool it back down.

Ok Ill try to stay on track.

So are there any steadfast %'s with these mixings?

For instance, if I wanted to do just a one flavor, 80vg 20pg 3mg nic, what would be a starting point for the flavoring?
It depends greatly on the flavor and by what brand.

Totally dependent on flavor and brand. Some do their single testers at 5% across the board but I wouldn't. Some brands are stronger than others.

Sorry I should have added that.

I bought a flavoring called red energy, supposed to be redbull type flavoring. The brand is Hangsen.

It's amazing how you guys have this down to a science lol.

The other flavors are all TFA.
    Honeydew, cantaloupe, cucumber.
HS flavors are usually stronger but not all are, check the flavor list on ELR recipes and read the notes. Sorry but I don't have that one.

I only have the cantaloupe and still playing with it. Used it at 3% in a recipe. Sorry I can't be more help but I'm sure others will know.

Me too, can't figure how to make it auto adjust mls used. I did finally put a list of the overflow stash in the fridge on my computer.

I don't think it can because it doesn't know when you're looking and when you're mixing.

We've been on hardware and flavors the last day or so.

    Not with a different coil

    Or a carto

I've done that with TFA across the board. 2ml 5%. Then if they're strong I can cut it, weak I can add.
I mainly do new flavor testers to see how strong something is and then to see if they blend with other flavors. I'm not looking for exact.

Recipe testers are a different story.

I use TFA Cuke at 6% as a star of the show and .67% as a helper with watermelon. You probably want it closer to the 1% number unless the cucumber is really forward in the mix you're trying to copy.
    I don't know the others.

I'm heading out to a family get together, hopefully my friend with MS is there and doesn't have her infusion appointment set and we can share a room next time (hers are every 6 months, mine are every 2 months, it just happened that her 3rd is due the same week as my 20th).
Tanks loaded with about 25ml, 9 batteries. Hopefully it's enough to last. 4 bottles of homemade wine.
    Don't swamp me too much.

1 week old 30ml Smokey Amber Plum is not as good in the Zeus. I'm going to make a 60ml bottle tomorrow after my stir bars show up. Hopefully that will be enough to last for some long term aging.

Most TFA flavors are a little week but honeydew isnt. To me anyway. 3-5%, anything past that gets funky

Ejuice Calculator can track inventory and warn you when running low. I never remember to click that button as I mix.

Sometimes I go through and measure and update. Then the next time I forget to push the button. I've given up.

I started entering my inventory at one point but got bored lol! I really should do it to keep track of stuff. I also found I had a few duplicate flavors that I held ordered. And I thought I was being soooo organized lol!

Mine are all capella, but I do a cucumber, honeydew, cantaloupe plus a touch of passion fruit/ mango mix (VTA). High on cucumber, equal amounts of the melons. It works nicely together if you can find the recommended %s for the TFA. Let us know how it turns out!

That's the thing of trying to get the right %s but I guess that's the thing with diy mixing, trial and error. I was just curious where to even start with the %s but from the replies it really depends on the brand.

Did you say you bought from BullCity? Look at the flavor reviews. Sometimes you'll find suggested mixing percentage dc99 gave you 3-5% on the TFA Honeydew

I got this guide from someone on here - it might give you a rough starting point on tfa percentages:

    Recommended TFA Flavor Percentages

I also find this site fantastic for flavour reviews and percentages
