I just get bland icing until around 6-8 weeks from it. Think I am going to start mixing 120ml ambers of some of these long steepers. That way I can just pull 30ml off and add the other flavors.
It's a thought. I do have some HA Italian Cream steeping.:)

Just got one order, two more should be here Monday. “The LIST “ is NOT empty... y’all didn’t warn me it was never ending . I really thought at some point, some million orders down the road, I’d have everything I needed. Nope. Nope. Nope.:blink::eek::blink::eek::blink:
    I believe I did warn you:lol:

I am still trying to play catch-up, of all the posts that got past me, by reading backward when time permits. I saw this one, and don't recall anyone responding to your plea.

Fireball is not in my wheelhouse; but I have tasted it <shudder>. It is a thick, syrup-y, liqueur (I refuse to call it a whiskey), that is popular with the non-whiskey drinking crowd. Imagine taking a pound of cinnamon Red Hot candies, adding just enough water to be able to boil them down to a thick syrup, and then adding just enough cheap generic whisky to get 66 proof (33%) alcohol content. That is Fireball.
I get no other flavor notes... but again I am not a fan. I am also not big on strong cinnamon. So I will gladly bow to other opinions.

To formulate a vape, in my mind, you need three things:
    1. A strong "hot" cinnamon note. This should be the core of the recipe. FW Red Hots may be a good candidate for this. I haven't used it; so I can't say. I would imagine either of the TFA Cinnamon Red Hots (original or "PG") would also work.
    2. A significant amount of sweet. Use sweetener of your choosing. Be aware of potential muting by higher sweetener levels... may need to adjust other concentrates. This is the middle note of the recipe.
    3. Last (and lightest), a light background whiskey note. Don't use any of your spendy whiskey concentrates here; as it is not supposed to be the star/focus. TFA-Kentucky Bourbon would probably be what I would try first. It is both inexpensive, and readily available. You only need enough to "suggest" this might be a whiskey(ish) drink.
    4. And maybe, if it still isn't quite "thick" enough (and I would save it as a last ditch effort), I might consider just a touch of meringue, or marshmallow.

I get no other notes of bakery, or brown sugar/molasses, or even vanilla. So, unless your Son-in-law is saying he tastes those (or any other) notes; I would leave them out. I think less is going to be more with this one.

One variation that might be interesting, is the use of a cooling agent, like WS-23 or koolada. The real beverage is most often served well chilled. (Bars, where it is popular, often store it in the freezer. I am guessing; due to the excessively sweet nature of it.) That might add a bit more "authenticity" to the vape. However, this is totally optional.

If, you get something that meets with his approval, I would love to know what it is. I am curious how close/distant I might be. :)
I'm not a fan of hot cinnamon either. I tried it way way back.............

Fran, after you asked about grape flavor, I remembered I got vt grape juice. It had been a long time since I had tried grape. I got out the sft samples I made up from my July 4 order. I mixed it at 10%. It’s a little bit sweet but the tartness of the grape comes through well. I think it’d be pretty good in a mix. I’m just not sure what to mix it with.

Thank you! You’re a great interpreter! It’s daunting to make something you haven’t tasted and all the other descriptions left me more baffled. I have Red Hots coming. That’s as much as I want to “invest” in cinnamon, as I know I won’t use it again. I have WS-23 (among the heap of yet unopened), but I think you’re right, it’ll help mimic the sensation of the actual Fireball. If I get a solid review back from him, I will share here and tag you so you can catch it. Guarantee you I won’t be testing it , so this one is going out blind.

I haven't tried the INW coconut so I don't know its taste. Maybe @PJReid can help with that one. If not maybe you can up the % of the coconut you already have in the mix. I would start small tho.

    :)

INW Coconut is not one of the company's shining stars. FA Coco’ (Coconut) and FLV Sweet Coconut are the best to my tastes. It seems that with coconut, no one is complete and it takes layering to get it right, at least for me.

BTW,thanks for the great review on the creams.:)

Did you get to the booze also?

Sorry, I missed this question - distraction abounds here. :) I was thinking of getting started on testing the booze flavors this afternoon as it is pretty quiet around here today. I just rewicked some tanks and tried out the Tea with Fuji and Ginger. It is good, but not quite what I wanted so adjustments are needed.

Yay! I finally got one right ... FA Coconut is due here tomorrow. Not a huge fan of coconut, but I need it to fill out the background. Maybe I can get by with just the one

That's one I don't have to worry about. If I taste and Coconut at all,I vape vape it. That's what keeps me away from FLV Chcocolate Deutsch.

Today was Pink Panther Day. I'm not getting a lot of sweetness, nor tartness, nor flavor. !0 days steeped now and I put it back for longer.

Must be something odd about the way I taste that flavor o_O At 0.15% I can taste it and it's not too strong and not too weak.

I mixed it at 1%. Maybe it's too much? Did you steep it?

I have more testers to try but I'm lazy so probably not getting to it today. My FA Pom tester will be 30 days soon. Got my fingers crossed that it's till tart. I did try 2 steeped flavors today and like them both. Got another 4-5 left to try. By the time I get to that some of the newer stuff will be steeped.

OK. Maybe it's just that. I only have 10 days so far.

I don't know that 4 more days will change it much. It's a straight up fruit flavor so I don't even know if a 3 week steep will make much difference. Maybe you're a low taster and need it higher.
