Yes, a bit sour, like the FW with no graham. It has a slight cheese/sour dairy like note with a light creamy mouthfeel. Since I don't mix cheesecakes, the VTA Cheesecake Base should work in the pound cake. Sort of like adding sour cream.
I use it to lessen sweetness in my cheesecake mixes. Works great.

I wish I had a penny for every ordering mistake I have made. VTA Blood Orange Champagne - YUCK! CAP Mango - I don't even like Mango but ordered TWO bottles of the stuff and big ones too. I need to PIF some flavors that never, ever should have made it into my stash. Don't feel bad. It is SO hard to keep up.
I still haven't tried my VTA Blood Orange Champagne tester.

I've been afraid to try it........
Its not that bad. The champagne part is pretty good. The orange is just weird. Tast like a real weak flat orange drink. Try it around 5% with 1.5-2% FLV blood orange. It would make a good mimosa

You can get INW Sparkling Wine from ecigexpress and DIY Vapor Supply. VTA Ginger Root has rave reviews - maybe even better than NF. Bull City does carry it but if you are placing an order from Chefs, might as well throw it in to get more bang for the same shipping fee, along with the INW Sparkling Wine. :)
Do you have the Ginger Root? Just wondering what it tastes like.

Yeah,I'll have to give it a try soon I suppose. Could be decent with another orange as you suggest but I've found I'm not real big on upfront orange vapes.Maybe enough Grapefruit to drown the crappy orange would work.

Would probably work. Its not a strong orange, reminds me of one of those LaCroix drinks. Which is pretty much just soda water with a hint of flavor. The fizzy champagne part is really good, just that orange

Looks like I'll have some clear mixing time on Sunday. Hubs will be helping my Gd's hubby put a timing belt in his car. Sooooo I can hopefully think of some mixes to go with the 2 I have worked out now.I haven't had a real mixing session for quite some time so I'm hoping to have at least 4 to do. My recipe thinker has been sluggish lately.

Ok.ty:) That's out for me. Can't do spices anymore.

I have no idea how much I will enjoy vaping spices. I like ginger and used it in the Fuji Ginger Tea with Whiskey. It is quite nice actually. I am planning on Chai Tea and Ginger is a must for that. I adore Chai Masala, half tea, and half whole milk. I am trying to worth that out in a vape recipe. Something tells me this will be another one that will require MANY tests. HIC's Vanilla Chai Latte is a good start but won't be milky enough for me. Then again, my vape preferences don't match my eating and drinking preferences so it might be perfect. I will probably start there anyway. I have VTA Chai Masala but am leery of that one. It has anise and I don't care for anise. I leave it out of my homemade Chai Masala. That one might end up as a PIF.

Unfortunately, vendors usually offer whole mixing kits for measuring by volume...which contain all sorts of things you don't even really need. Many of us who mix by volume use just several syringes of varying capacities and some blunt needle tips. I can easily fit them all in 1 small Ziplock baggie. Have only needed to replace 5 cheap syringes in the last 3 1/2 years. Like many others...I make my eliquids right in the bottles they'll stay in, if they're 10-100mL sizes. Larger than that (like my ADV) gets made in a bigger bottle, and it's used to refill a 50mL bottle. It works for me and takes up minimal space.

Whether measuring by volume, or by weight though...the results can be the same = perfectly great tasting DIY. It's just a matter of personal preference as to which method someone chooses. I have no doubt that you'll do great measuring by weight!

I've gone through a lot more syringes. I've gone through more than 5 just for refilling tanks. TFA Pineapple kills them instantly and other flavorings lead to swelling of the rubber.
I don't understand the cleaning problems people have. I rinse out the flavor syringe(s), that's all.
