I have no idea how much I will enjoy vaping spices. I like ginger and used it in the Fuji Ginger Tea with Whiskey. It is quite nice actually. I am planning on Chai Tea and Ginger is a must for that. I adore Chai Masala, half tea, and half whole milk. I am trying to worth that out in a vape recipe. Something tells me this will be another one that will require MANY tests. HIC's Vanilla Chai Latte is a good start but won't be milky enough for me. Then again, my vape preferences don't match my eating and drinking preferences so it might be perfect. I will probably start there anyway. I have VTA Chai Masala but am leery of that one. It has anise and I don't care for anise. I leave it out of my homemade Chai Masala. That one might end up as a PIF.
    I don't like anise either.

I'm still window shopping flavors at Chef's and I'll probably put my order in tonight. I know that within a day of ordering I'll remember one more flavor I meant to buy

I've gone through a lot more syringes. I've gone through more than 5 just for refilling tanks. TFA Pineapple kills them instantly and other flavorings lead to swelling of the rubber.

Yeah, I could see going through more then. I only use mine for measuring nic base and flavorings. My eliquid bottles have thin tips that work fine for refilling my tanks.

After killing (3) of my $.65 Tractor Supply plastic syringes with TFA Pineapple and a couple others, I bought 2 glass syringes from FT. They've got no rubber at all and were only $2.19/set of 2 for the 5mL size. I use those with any "problem" flavorings. The other 2 that have died were really cheap 1mL plastic FT ones...that just finally lost their vaccuum capability. Better quality 1mL ones from elsewhere haven't died yet.

I don't understand the cleaning problems people have. I rinse out the flavor syringe(s), that's all.

I don't get it either. It takes about a minute or 2 at most, depending on how many I just used.

From an occasional tobacco/mix vaper, it's hard to go wrong with Hangsen tobaccos IMO. My favorites are RY4, Highway & Turkish Blended... :D They are great stand alone and in mixes with vanilla, caramel, nuts & creams...
I don’t really have any experience at all mixing tobaccos. Not even really sure I’ll like them but want to give them a fair chance. If you don’t mind, how’s this look? I considered omitting vanilla bean & marshmallow and adding either Gremlin Vanilla Overload at 3-4% or Hangsen’s French Vanilla Ice Cream at 1.5-2%. Thoughts?

    Sweet Desert Ship

    Caramel Toffee (Hangsen) 1.5%
    Desert Ship (Hangsen) 5%
    Marshmallow (CAP) 2%
    Nut Mix (FA) 1%
    Vanilla Bean (Flavorah) .5%

    (Mostly sub-ohm super tank vaping.)

Looks pretty good, give it a go... :D

It's been a while since I used the Desert Ship and although good, there are others I liked better...

FWIW, If I was mixing this, for me, I would up the Desert Ship 1% & drop the Caramel Toffee .25% / Marshmallow .5%. As I don't have Vanilla Bean (Flavorah), I have no idea about that... :( Vanilla Shisha (INW) @ 1 - 1.25% would be my preference but Vanilla Overload or FV Ice Cream should also work @ slightly less. ;)

Hope this helps... :) Good luck & let us know how it goes... :D

It certainly does, thanks! I don’t have the Hangsen’s you listed as favorites. I didn’t want to purchase too many before knowing if I like them. I’m going to try your suggestions but do you see any on this list you believe to be better choices in your opinion?..

These are the tobacco flavors I have...

    FE Win Churchhill
    Tobacco Absolute 50%
    INW Sphynx Tobacco
    INW French Pipe
    FA Glory
    HS Desert Ship
    HS RY3
    PUR Sweet Tobacco

FLV Vanilla Bean is a lovely flavor! Even at minute amounts it delivers a velvety smooth vanilla bean embrace, perfect every time I use it! Love it!

I used to use a different desert ship and it didn’t have a lot of flavor. I’d try the ry3 but I’m far from being an expert.
Thanks for your input! Might mix a few samples the same way but with different tobaccos. That should teach me a thing or two. You’re an expert compared to me:laugh:

No, but I plan to get some. I am using NF Ginger now. The VTA gets raves reviews.

I love ginger, but didn't really care for NF Ginger. Years ago I got Ginger by the Sea from Alice in Vapeland and loved it. A mild but nice ginger flavor that was a good palate cleaner and a yummy accompaniment to some of our stir fries. I'd really like to find something to fill that void.

I have VTA ginger root coming to try in my delayed shipment. The sad part is I don't know when I'll get a chance to mix it. The start of Sept. is a very busy time for me. Plus the DH is going in for a cardiac catheterization on the 4th and I don't know what that will bring. At a minimum, he'll be one handed with limited lifting for a week to 10 days.

On the upside, I'm back in VT and the my sister and BIL left this morning. I brought my mixing supplies and lots of clean bottles. Now the challenge is what to make. I have FLV Ginger Peach so that's on the list. Let the fun begin!

No! You’ve been a great help already, thank you! Think I’ll have to mix up your Toffee Nut Custard also. I’m not sure when I’ll actually get to these as my “to mix” list is rather extensive atm, but they’ve been added and I look forward to trying them both:p

Don't look at me. I overslept forgot to make the coffee last night and ache from head to toe. But I'm determined to make a few 15 ml boozy flavors at some point if and when I wake up.

I don't want to go grocery shopping except for one THING. I hate that so much, LOL there are disadvantages to going a bit rural. LOL.

My wife tried the Kroger Curbside Pickup the other day. She ordered it all online and I picked it up. There's a phone number in the designated pickup parking places. I called it and less than 5 minutes later they brought out the order and loaded into my crew cab pickup. Cool!

I MISS that service SO much from Kroger and Harris Teeter. Home delivery is great too for those of us who hate grocery shopping. Believe it or not, here, down the street from Amazon headquarters, I can't get Amazon Fresh. Go figure! Safeway does a decent job here.

I've been thinking about getting some glass ones for those types of flavors. I figure I'll drop them.

I have a box of 100 3ml plastic ones. They were cheap, I'm not too worried about killing them.

My first attempt at Grapefruit & Gin on the Rocks turned out well. That VTA Botanical Gin is good stuff!

Grapefruit & Gin on the Rocks
    Botanical Gin (VTA) 4%
    Grapefruit (FA) 2%
Ruby Red Grapefruit (Natural) (FW) 2.5%
Soda Base (SC) (Real Flavors) 2%
    White Grapefruit (INAWERA) .25%
    WS-23 30% .5% to .75%

I used FA Grapefruit here since it is at its best not mixed with a lot of different flavors. This recipe would be good, IMO, with just the FA Grapefruit and the INW, leaving out the Ruby Red. Maybe not as luscious, but good I think.

I liked the Fizzy Sea Breeze with VTA Russian Vodka at 5% so much that I made up 60mls of it. Another very tasty juice, to me.
