Okay moms and oderaters, help!!

I signed the lease on the apartment when the windows were open (carpets were drying) and there is a disabled, crazy cat lady below me who vapes and I think she's lived there a LONG time, and well I try not to hate her because she vapes.

But, well, I noticed a distinct odor of "apartment" on some of my clothing and while I can cope with the smell while I'm THERE (and I am bringing up my air purifier because well.... I can. She also watches movies very loud at night (she warned me) but my bathroom fan is like, a good white noise maker.

What I don't think I can cope with is people thinking *I* smell like a disabled fat woman with 7 cats who doesn't clean much (I assume, she's in an obesity scooter). The only solution I can come up with is leaving my work clothes in the car until I need whatever outfit each morning. IDK. I could lay them carefully in the trunk.

But if you flavorers have ideas, tell me!! OMG I don't want to kick up a fuss or like, call the health department. Maybe in my fiery youth I would but she' s been living there for years, clearly and like, I'm not gonna be there long. I don't want to set up an episode of animal hoarders and would feel SO evil.

IDK I could talk to the leasing agent (my husband said it was her she was wafting smell out of her open window on Halloween) but I'm more just looking for "how can I, as in individual person, cope best.

Glad the clothes were relatively speedy though. LOL.

You can sprinkle the carpet with baking soda, let set, then vacuum up. Also leave a few open boxes out (or in closet or drawers), it absorbs odors. Cheap (@ .50 a box at Wally World).

My boss said before that when they have a party or something that resembles a party, they will sit out bowls or cups of vinegar. He said it's a natural deodorizer. I haven't tried it for that but do know its good for cleaning. We use vinegar and hot water in our carpet cleaner.

Thanks you guys, those are all great ideas! It's really inconvenient to leave clothes in the car, I actually have a bunch of plastic bags I can put the clothes in from the fire, and I will probably go to Walmart tonight anyway, I'm going to buy some of the thick plastic kind. That is my MAIN BEEF.

I will try the charcoal/vinegar and baking soda stuff. I really loathe those "stink" perfume carpet sprays and whatnot, but I can most certainly leave out like, small trays of odor absorber. Etc.

It can't hurt, and even after I have managed to sort of shove the stink into the background after about 10 minutes (um, lots of practice with some of my lower functioning in home families) it's probably a) not healthy and b) I would be pleased if my environment smelled like me, it's sort of what I'm used to frankly, and the clothing thing was just upsetting, dude. LOL.

My pineapple flavor notes... [Followed by a clean-looking, concise, & easy to read format by manufacturer]

OK, now I have to ask... I am extremely jealous of how your notes look, Pam, so I wanted to ask what software you use to save your notes? It appears that you have a system that allows you to pull information by flavor or by manufacturer. What I started keeping notes with (MS Word), to keep track of all of this stuff, is just NOT cutting it for me at 70 pages, so spill... ;)

Good stuff. Used to use in in the car, when I was a smoker. If it gets rid of THAT, it should work.

I have high hopes for that one, especially with a short steep
Don't get your hopes up. Everybody's taste is different but I get a creamy taste with a once in awhile very slight taste of cheese. No crust. I don't care who's next with the latest and greatest cheesecake,I'm not buying it. Dead serious on that

If you're going to Walmart anyway, you might check and see how much one of those zip up garment bags are. I would think that would help to keep the smell from your clothes and you could hang it in a closet.

I don't remember, did you get/try the OOO vanilla custard cheesecake? It's been an odd one for me so far. I just haven't come up with a recipe I like it in but it's not bad.

When I first started keeping flavor notes, I used MS Word. The HD went bad in my MacBook Pro and had to have it replaced. So, I lost MS Office and decided to give Open Office a try. I keep my notes in a text document that I created in Open Office. I wish I could give you a magic trick but the info comes from pulling from whatever reviews I can find online and my own impressions.

I had about the same issue last year. My hard drive crashed and couldnt retrieve my notes or recipes. I just do it old school for now. Pen&paper

I am good about running backups so I really didn't lose anything. I lost MS Office because I would have to reinstall it and the DVD drive is not working in my old MacBook Pro. Had I realized that, I would have had them replace it along with the HD. Open Office is free and after a learning curve, it works for me.

How long did you steep yours? Out of habit, I marked it 4 weeks and put it at the back of the steep box
