That probably means it contains a certain percentage of alcohol which technically makes it flammable and therefore potentially hazardous for air transport. I haven't looked at that particular flavor to be certain however this has been the case for other flavors from different vendors.

    Thanks, that makes sense.

Up to/including 30mL bottles of flavorings with alcohol in them can still go by air, according to the vendors I've dealt with who carry them in various sizes. Sizes larger than that will usually show the airplane icon with the line drawn through it...indicating no air travel, ground shipment only.

also noticed a lovely STREAK of black spots on my ceiling right from my ONE working air vent.
If it looks like mold, don't let them blow you off, as there can be health concerns. Pet waste too, for that matter. If the property qualifies as public housing, I imagine there are certain minimum government standards with which they must comply, in order to qualify. Perhaps "volunteering to research it for them" will encourage them to get "motivated.";)

You can start by Googling "Arizona renter's rights." There should be agencies listed for assistance. It should also spell out your responsibilities; such as submitting requests in writing (document trails are a beautiful thing). It should also help establish you own expectations regarding time frames in which landlords/owners are required to respond.

I get that you don't want to throw "crazy vaping cat lady" under the bus. But, one also needs to think about her own well being (is she competent/capable of taking care of herself?), animal cruelty (even if not willful), and the health and well being of the rest of the tenants (especially children). I know you will do what you feel is best. Just try to consider all those affected.

I genuinely hope that it all ends up being no big deal.:)

The specified flavor - and a bunch of others! - have the banned airplane symbol.

I noticed this myself over the last (my first) couple orders from Nic River, and I was only getting 10 to 15 ml bottles.... Hellacious fedex shipping.

Looks to me like some vendors have all sizes of the flavorings that contain alcohol (even 30mL and smaller sizes)...disqualified from going by air. Wizard Labs, for one, definitely doesn't do that. The smallest size I've seen with the no air shipment indication from them, is 4oz. They do have the smaller sizes of them marked as US Shipping Only, but they still go by USPS mail.

@uthinkofsomething - You may want to give them a try with your next order, especially if you're running into a gouging on shipping cost problem with those smaller sizes from other vendors. I've been ordering from them for more than 2.5 years now, and they've got reasonable S/H and great customer service, too. They run fairly frequent coupon codes for discounts, too.

I have ordered from wizardlabs a couple times, good experience so far. Last few times I ordered flavors I got them from 3 or 4 places just to get all the stuff I want. I have been getting all my base materials from Nic River so far and try to get as much as I can all at once to get free shipping, but had to break down and pay for the ground shipping twice. Still way cheaper than buying premixed liquid lol. Thanks for the advice though, @JCinFLA .

I wonder, if that has anything to do with the fact that they use glass, and not plastic bottles?

Might, not as robust against shipping damage, so greater risk.
JC said WL had fewer restrictions. I was wondering, since glass is less gas permeable than plastic, that might explain the difference.

That's not to say, other company's just don't want to fuss with volume cut-offs (e.g. "30mL is okay; while 4oz. is not"), and just make a blanket statement they won't air-ship any sizes.:)

The lady came and looked. She called me and said she noticed no odor. My heart kind of sunk at that point. I am afraid I said, "Well perhaps all your apartments smell this way?" She said they were replacing the thermostat because it was "hard to see." I did not find it hard, and I don't like being treated dopy. She said they were cleaning the ducts but ominously, "We can only go back so far." I was like yeah, well DO that. They also shampooed the carpets again. I think some stink is in the padding. It seems kinda better but not fantastic.

If it stays like this (and I will have to see tonight because, IDK. I was in it all night. If it stays like this, I will live. If it gets worse, lDK. I'm gonna get the husband up here next week and see what he thinks.

I'm still not convinced it is totally fixed, but perhaps better. Again, not sure. I hope I can just deal, I guess I'm gonna see.

Good morning, folks:) Hubs had his cat scan yesterday and I'm attempting to stay busy so I don't stress over possible results so much. We are in the middle of a snow storm with 3-5 on the ground and other 3-5 to fall today. I need to clean off a 10' section of deck and the front steps. That isn't my idea of fun but it will sure keep me busy for awhile. Staying busy inside is more to my liking. I'm still liking my Strawberry Croissant and may try my Green Mousse today.Or my Chocolate Cereal.
