I was looking at flavors on Nic River and one of Capella's says "This Flavor is Hazmat". Anyone seen this before? Sounds scary to me.
Uh, no... which flavor?
That probably means it contains a certain percentage of alcohol which technically makes it flammable and therefore potentially hazardous for air transport. I haven't looked at that particular flavor to be certain however this has been the case for other flavors from different vendors.
If it looks like mold, don't let them blow you off, as there can be health concerns. Pet waste too, for that matter. If the property qualifies as public housing, I imagine there are certain minimum government standards with which they must comply, in order to qualify. Perhaps "volunteering to research it for them" will encourage them to get "motivated."also noticed a lovely STREAK of black spots on my ceiling right from my ONE working air vent.
The specified flavor - and a bunch of others! - have the banned airplane symbol.
I noticed this myself over the last (my first) couple orders from Nic River, and I was only getting 10 to 15 ml bottles.... Hellacious fedex shipping.
I have ordered from wizardlabs a couple times, good experience so far. Last few times I ordered flavors I got them from 3 or 4 places just to get all the stuff I want. I have been getting all my base materials from Nic River so far and try to get as much as I can all at once to get free shipping, but had to break down and pay for the ground shipping twice. Still way cheaper than buying premixed liquid lol. Thanks for the advice though, @JCinFLA .Looks to me like some vendors have all sizes of the flavorings that contain alcohol (even 30mL and smaller sizes)...disqualified from going by air. Wizard Labs, for one, definitely doesn't do that. The smallest size I've seen with the no air shipment indication from them, is 4oz. They do have the smaller sizes of them marked as US Shipping Only, but they still go by USPS mail.
@uthinkofsomething - You may want to give them a try with your next order, especially if you're running into a gouging on shipping cost problem with those smaller sizes from other vendors. I've been ordering from them for more than 2.5 years now, and they've got reasonable S/H and great customer service, too. They run fairly frequent coupon codes for discounts, too.![]()
I wonder, if that has anything to do with the fact that they use glass, and not plastic bottles?Wizard Labs, for one, definitely doesn't do that. The smallest size I've seen with the no air shipment indication from them, is 4oz.
JC said WL had fewer restrictions. I was wondering, since glass is less gas permeable than plastic, that might explain the difference.Might, not as robust against shipping damage, so greater risk.
