Another coffee or two and I'm going to pick an sft to try.Hoping for better luck today.

Since I like chocolates if figured I couldn't go wrong with JF Cocoa. Mixed at 2 1/2% and 2 weeks steeped.Not bad at all.Could use a tad more of a chocolate taste. Final opinion with second testing. Now to see what's next.

Next up is WF Butter Pecan Pie. I have it in a tank but haven't worked up the nerve to try it yet.

Ok,you would think it's crazy for me to buy a flavor called Butter Pecan Pie but I bought it on the reviews that said it wasn't that sweet and mixed my tester at the recommend 6 1/2%,2 weeks steeped. Happy to say it isn't that sweet and pretty tasty. As an experiment I added 2 drops of my sft of starch base and it's perfect.

I have to pack the kitchen and I can do that... after two cups of coffee. Kind of my motto. If the grim reaper showed up I'd be like, FINE, but I need two cups of coffee first.

WOW! That’s a lot of ingredients for a coconut cream!! With all those custards, cheesecake and creams it’ll need a pretty long steep to get that thickness.

Did you make this recipe up yourself or from a recipe you found? There are quite a few very good Coconut Cream recipes on ATF and ELR that I was checking out this weekend that I may mix tomorrow. But I like to keep my recipes to far fewer ingredients. My palette isn’t sensitive enough to differentiate between too many ingredients. For me - Less is More lol! I make too many mistakes with a lot of ingredients cuz I lose focus!!

na I just made this with what I had....I will say that this morning the coconut is a bit stronger....lol but I don't think I'll be using that many flavors again but it is good and yeah this will probably take a while to steep

yeah, not sure who mentioned about steeping but... i am way too impatient for that I shake and vape.... so at the moment i'm trying to make several different juices so they can have time to steep

I think I asked about saline in a different thread and didn't hear back. People are saying to make sure its wound wash, I think? Also, I'm not sure in what quantity to add it to a mix. I do have FA Lemon Sicily coming this week for citric acid.

@Slots introduced me to using a 0.09% saline solution ("wound wash" found at most drug stores) about a year and a half ago. It is useful for smoothing out the harshness of some of the rougher citrus recipes I have made. It is also good for adding a bit of brightness to fruits. I use 1 or 2 drops in a tank fill (3ish mL).

You don't taste "salt" per se (remember; it is a very low percentage of a 0.09% concentrate); but I liken it to adding a sprinkle of salt on a piece of cantaloupe or watermelon. If, you put enough on to actually perceive saltiness, it's kinda gross. But if you use less, the salt isn't noticed in and of itself, yet the flavor is still noticeably changed.

What I like about it; is it is easily added to finished mixes. Adding it to a tank, to see if it is going to offer anything, works just fine for me.

After reading all this, I promptly bought some wound wash and copied-and-pasted the advice into my notes.

Have you signed up to receive the email newsletters...at any vendors who sell salt nic? Most of them will email when they're having a sale. I got a few of them in the last month...1 from Wizard Labs, 1 from Nicotine Giant, and 1 from Nude Nicotine.

Still awaiting my first Chefs order. Next order will be BCF but not for awhile. Only 4 flavors on my wishlist and a couple are iffy. I have $500 coming as the final payment from selling the car. I will earmark $200 as spending money which should last me for a good while.

You can also make so perfectly good juice with just 2 flavors to tide you over. Honestly the simpler recipes are often the best. I use to think that the recipes with 6,7,8 or more flavors must be gourmet masterpieces. Meh - I’m sure some are but I’m just as happy vaping juices with under 3 or 4 flavors. That way I get to know the individual flavors better in addition to the single flavor testing.

I don’t think anyone loses their impatience while juices steep. It’s really torture lol!!

I haven’t been feeling well so haven’t mixed in over a month until Saturday. So I mixed up 3 or 4 that didn’t need steeping and then a few that did. That way I have something to vape while the others are steeping.

Normally I try to mix every 4-6 weeks so I always have something ready from the steep closet, something to go into the steep closet and a few that I can just shake n vape.

How did you pick the flavors you are getting? Did you look at recipes that sound like something you might enjoy then pick flavors from them?

I’m sure you’ll have fun and enjoy DIYing! It’s not only a great and inexpensive way to get vape juice but it’s also a fun hobby if you get into it like most of us here.

I think I've made like 4 different flavor orders in the span of 2 weeks I'm pretty simple for what flavors I like, so my thought was I could pick single flavors and be fine with those ... but it appears that I'll need to mix most likely to get the flavor(s) I want. My original order I just picked things I thought I would like (not a good idea). Over the course of all my flavors, I've been looking at more and more places for reviews, notes, and recipes.

Do you have lemon juice (Squeeze lemon?)

I do not, but I could buy some

I've been at this a long time and I still pick flavors that look good to me.If they do turn out to be good then I will fit them in a recipe. I've found a lot of good flavors that way

I still need to order dribs and drabs from 2 or 3 other vendors. Will wait until I need other flavors although this could take a while.

Pam, I don't do gin (can't get the 'pine tree' taste out of my memory from my 1st gin & tonic), but I saved your recipes anyway because they look so good (you've got your own PJReid Booze section)! Are any of them less gin-forward? Will any of them not taste right if I don't use gin (vodka, rum, other light liquor)?

I think you could easily replace the gin with vodka or light rum in all of the recipes I posted. I like gin, esp. Botanical Gin, but understand that not everyone does. Try vodka or rum and see if you like it. I would be interested to hear your results.

I think I made this more complicated than it really needed to be, but it turned out well for a shake and vape, i'm sure it'll be better when it steeps
working on a coconut cream but couldn't decide what would work best so a bit of everything
coconut, sweet cream, marshmallow, french vanilla, vanilla custard, yogurt, cheesecake, whipped cream, condensed milk, cotton candy, meringue
it's a sweet cream but missing that creamy/custard taste and feel that I wanted more of... somewhere between cream, milkshake and ice cream....it's not bad but not exactly what I was going for and needs more coconut

(afterthought) throw in a bit of butter and this would make for a good buttercream

This might be what you are looking for. It is very popular and the mixer is top notch.
