I'm close to 9 years now. First came the carts and atties which got pricey real quick.Next up was the greensmoke and the pre-filled cartos which worked well for awhile till quality control went to heck. Now in comes the egos, cartomizers and juice which worked much better and even more so once I discovered tanks and Ikenvapes 801fusion cartos.(Happy to say I gathered a lifetime supply before he went ut of business). Fast forward a few years and I'm liking the Zenith very much. For some reason I never heard of the Kabuki.

I used the Boge cartos as these were readily available in the B&M. I tried Ivenkape although I do not remember which one but for sure not the 810s.

The Kabuki is manufactured in the US by House of Hybrids so more expensive than overseas made products. Definitely better quality. They no longer manufacture them other than on occasion in limited quantities. They are sold on their own website: https://squareup.com/sites/houseofhybrids/ and sometimes at https://thezfo.com. They appear in the classified on occasion.

I do not remember the brands of the cigalikes. The first one I tried came in a cute box about the size of a pack of analogs. There were five slots inside the box for the refills along with the cigalike. Greensmokes sounds familiar. The last one I tried was a Blu that had different flavors. I bought it at Walgreens and it cost $10 but never worked from the get-go. I did not save my receipt so never took it back. B&Ms started popping up in the mid 2013 in my area. Within a year several closed due to too much competition. I did not know about ECF until a good year after I started vaping. If it was not for the B&M I wonder if I would have gotten into real vaping.

Like many new vapers, the Ego was my very first PV. Went to mechanicals when I started using the Kayfuns and then to ProVari and many others after that especially Asmodus. A few months ago I purchased a VapoFi V-Grip for something like $13.50. It does not manage battery life very well however for the price I did not care as it does use an 18650 plus the price was right.

    Somewhere between here and there
I'm getting rather tired of not being able to get the flavors I want at one place. I had to place an order with bcf and ecx just to get four flavors for a couple recipes I want to try. I may start ordering more from chefs if I run into this much more in the future. It's a longer wait to get them but it'd only be one shipping charge.

Since we're talking about old gear, I had the 510 cigalikes with the cartridges with the foam or whatever in them and had a charging case for them. I also had a couple of the corded 510's that you could plug into your car cigarette adapter. I've still got a bunch of old mods and tanks that I don't use but can't bring myself to get rid of.

I actually went in a smoke shop and asked if they had any information on vapor products. The owner pointed me to Vermont Vapor. I came home and found they had a website and that where I got the ego's 510,cartos and juice. I landed on ECF 3 months after I started vaping because I was looking for for info on the egos. My first "big" pv came a little later and it was a Buzz.

I saved a Lemon Crumble Cake recipe a while ago and have not tried it yet. I wonder if it is the same as what you mixed. It is the one that was on DIYorDIE. I am not necessarily a Wayne fan although if I did try this I would have to make a sub plus leave out CAP Super Sweet.

Probably the same, it is by The One. When I mix it again, I will lower % of lemon meringue and super sweet, leave the straight meringue out and add lemon Sicily.

The kabuki is a nice looking tank but way out of my price range, I'm not altogether sure I'd want to pay that much for a tank.
    .

FT used to sell a kabuki clone but I can't remember the name of it. I have 3 or 4 plus one authentic. Last time I tried putting a nauti coil in one, didn't work. I haven't messed with it since...one of these days.

@hittman You haven't mentioned the Zlide for awhile. Are you still liking it?
I’m interested too. Hitt’s a lot more discerning than me. I actually prefer the zenith. To me, the zlide is a little tighter open fully than the zenith. I could use just a touch more af. Other than that, pretty much the same tank.

    Chef's doesn't have everything either.

It's kind of spendy.. $50 total for both at home depot.. but they house and organize all of my current DIY juice supplies(nic base, VG, flavors), syringes and needles, empty 30ml and 100ml unicorn bottles, rebuilding supplies, spare o rings, precision screwdriver set, scissors, lighter, sharpie, and room for more.

There is no right or wrong. If it works for you and you like it then that's all that matters.:)

Fasttech still has some Kabuki clones, but it looks like the one that I have is discontinued (I totally forgot I had it and... it's still in the box  ):
    FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics

I'm kind of between a DTL & MTL vaper, however, I did use a Nautilus for a long time, but somehow fell out of love with them. I still have a bunch of the Nautilus coils, so I picked up a Nautilus AIO to use them up and I'm liking the coils again. Perhaps, I need to dig out that Kabuki now.

I like the "little spool of 32 gauge Kanthal wire" offering.
The description makes me wish I used 32... “Because it's $1. Who doesn't want dozens of feet of Kanthal for $1. How many dozens of feet? We don't know. We could unwind it to find out, but we don't want to. We think it's probably about 50 feet.”. Love a company that isn’t afraid to let a little humor slip in
