BTW, what are the Randomfolk's opinions on the longevity (shelf life) of these flavor concentrates? Obviously storage conditions are a factor so I'm talking about storing them in an opaque container (like my shoe box) and leaving it on the kitchen table.
Depends how warm your house is. I store mine out of the light and in a cool spot.

Uuuuunnnh. I got to get ready soon. No more coughing I think that's the steroids. Like, my entire chest hurts though.

Forget flavors (well, I mean no) but forget buying them. Also, I'd like to buy one new body please. I don't even care if it's USED, as long as it has bee properly cared for. It's way too late for THIIS one. I don't even care if it's like a 40 year old male, with back hair. LOL.:lol::lol:

I know, whine whine. I got to toughen up here. Maybe this wack-new steroid IS good though, I lay in bed for awhile, freaking out about if I was gonna fall asleep but I did.

It would be thrilling if the doctor did SOMEETHING right! "Plushmed" sent me a survey I have not completed it:lol: yet.

I don't think anyone knows for sure. Cool and dark makes sense.. I use a refrigerator but it's hard to get cool and dark around here.

Nine years sounds nice and optimistic, actually. I should find one my oldest flavors that I never use (orange creamsicle should do nicely, bleugh) date it, and find out. Course that requires tasting it periodically and as far as I'm concerned, that one "Went bad" right out of the box.. LOL.

My AC is on all summer. 78 during the day, cooler during the evening.

Mine are stored in the basement. Temp there stays lower and more stable than the rest of the house. It ranges between 50F and about 70F (rarely that high).

I suppose I could store them in the fridge. It's not like I have 6,000 bottles like some people here. :)

78 is pretty warm. Got a little cooler place than the kitchen table?
My thermostat is set to 78 during the day in the summer. So unless some room gets a little more AC than where the thermostat is then 78 is it all over the house. Of course it's only that warm for about 5 hours per day for half the year but that is max.

I found this from TFA regarding storage: https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/flavorsworkshop/shelf_life.pdf

    Interesting!
OK, well that sort of clears it up a little. Seems to me keeping them in an opaque box at room temperature is probably OK when considering I have all 10ml bottles that will either be used up quickly or will rarely be opened. If I find I use a lot of a particular flavor and choose to buy larger bottles then it will also be used up quickly. I deduce from TFA that if a bottle is opened frequently AND is around for a long time then there could be problems. I'm guessing your 2010 bottles are rarely opened therefore they're probably fine.

They'll be fine no matter what as far as safety. It's just that the flavor may change over time. It's pretty hard to remember what something smelled/tasted like 9 years ago!

    That could be a PITA.:(

It's definitely going to be a PITA. I'm going to have to go through my cases one at a time and verify location. Otherwise it's going to make for some really long mixing sessions over time. I'd rather take the time and go through them and get them right than get frustrated that I can't find the last flavor for a recipe that I'm in the middle of mixing.

I store mine in cases inside a cabinet in my basement that usually stays around 66-68. I still have a bottle of blueberry extra that I bought a long time ago from Good Prophets which went out of business several years ago and it's still good.

    Maybe I'll build a root cellar. :)

I just had a horrifying realization.... I’m going to have to reorganize my cases. Again. Every time I think, THIS, this is the last time I’ll need to do this. And then I order a “few” things that change the whole dynamics of the cases.

If you mention a sale on flavors, and I mark it “useful”.... feel free to remind me publicly and sternly that the one tiny order is going to lead to more trouble than I need.

lol! I refuse to buy more (different) flavors just so I don’t have to do that again lol!!!

Good luck! I think I'm getting close to being done ordering new stuff. However, every time I say that then I put in an order for a handful of new flavors.

That was an interesting read sounds like some flavors over time you might need more in a mix over time.

And SHEESH. IF only ALL DIY emporiums were Told TO ONLY ship in the most durable material possible. That would be so lovely. LOL.

Yes, I'm tired of transferring my nic. LOL. I also got back from the doctor's office with an albuterol inhaler, a freaking Z-pack, he sort of stared at my abx in a puzzled fashion until I explained I can't take Keflax and Clindomyacin. Then he was like, "Well, I wouldn't take THAT." And I was like "Yep." OMG too he asked about my sputum or whatever it's called and I had been coughing into a mask so I was like, "Here you go, THIS is what color it is." But he handled it like a man and told me to take Mucinex, the inhaler, the Z-pack and the steroid but that "if I did not get better, to go to the ER."

Oooh… .He also ORDERED me the pneumonia vaccine so I can just come back and like, do it when I am not sick. My clinic has like, that awesome feature and they don't even charge you for it.

Also, he looked... Like a construction worker. I don't know if the dos compete as to how badly they can dress on Weekends and Holidays because they HATE them but he was this gigantic, rather rotund half African-American dude who like, his sneakers were coming apart, his jeans (which were shredded) barely fit, he was NOT wearing a lab coat. LOL.

Strangely enough, that is the kind of doctor I can get behind. I made a well-visit and like we will see. Because he was really nice and super sympathetic so maybe he won't freak about my thyroid like crazy Nurse Practitioner B:censored:.

Because he looked like he had been around the block a few times so maybe he will listen instead of being like, "OMG you are gonna die."

    I don't think I am. Now.

They have this new dry puff albuterol inhaler it is weird. LOL.
