Not looking forward to getting back to work on the water. Kinda am for the money, but not really. It's hard to leave the beach.. and going to see a sea turtle hatching on Saturday. Got the sandfest sand sculpture coming up soon too.

I wanted to go to Sandfest last year, but we didn't go. I really want to go this year! We may be in the same neck of the woods!
That's not fair... I live in CA but haven't been to the beach in so long.... I miss it so much!
I haven’t been to a beach in almost five years. I love the beach.
Today my four day vacation starts. Today I start cleaning my vinyl siding on the house and pressure washing the sidewalk. I have a to-do list a mile long. But I’m ready.

Good morning mixers. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a beach or even had a real vacation. With the kids having school trips and then college one after the other it’s been tough to pay for a real vacation. I’m not complaining. We were able to pay for my wife to go on a couple school trips with the kids. The trips are more important to her than me. Growing up we didn’t do big vacations so I’m kinda used to it. However, once the youngest gets out of college, I plan on doing some traveling.

Its been a lot of years ago but when my wife and I went to New York state for a friend's wedding, we went hiking there and it was beautiful. I can't remember the name of the place.
I went to Sandfest about 7 years ago, it was awesome. I'll miss it, again, unfortunately, but my goal is to be down here year round. I'm on North Padre.

The wife and I like to hit the breweries on Friday night, but we are lightweights-- two and done. lol
But we do enjoy it-- the only time we miss going is when she's gone on business. Since we moved to Arkansas she's usually traveling however she tries to schedule it so she's home by the weekend.

Add Nantahala to your list........I think the area is incredibly amazing. The Ozarks aren't bad either.
Yes, I'd very much like to see the Appalachian Mountain Range/East coast mountain ranges too. I have barely scratched the surface to exploring the eastern coast, I'd especially like to see the Northeast. I'm so tantalizing close to the eastern seaboard when in MI. But there is next to zero chances of getting any time to do that currently, unless it's in the winter time.I’m sure those places are all beautiful as our own White Mountains are
That River looks divine, thanks! There are many many places I'd like to go, just in the U.S. alone. My wife wants to do lots of world travel, that's fine and dandy I'm all for it, but this continent alone has so much to offer. She's done far more U.S./N.A. travel than I have
