I don’t blame you. It’s scary going back.Good morning. Back to work today. Yesterday didn't feel like Memorial Day although I did cook BBQ pork chops. I also went to the store for everybody and ran Mom and Dad's groceries over to their house. Then my son and I went to Ace Hardware to pick up some AC filters. I've been using a filter with too high of a MERV rating causing reduced air flow in my system. I picked up a cheap fiberglass filter and it immediately helped my system cool better. Live and learn. I wish my company would tell me when I go back to work...tired of waiting. Covid cases are increasing in my state so I'm not thrilled about having to go back to work.
Most folks here wear masks still.I saw maybe two people wearing masks yesterday besides us. I think everybody just doesn't care. Makes me want to stay home even more. I cannot get this virus...I take care of too many people.

Sadly, so true.It seems - to too many - that their "right" to party is more important than anyone else's right to health.

Masks are required when I go back to work. We will also get random covid testing, have to participate in covid tracking (I'm already doing that), and more rules. If you don't comply it can be grounds for dismissal. Since I have my own office I can see me going into work and hanging out in there with my door closed (also recommended). I'm glad my company is taking this seriously. Most folks here wear masks still.

My eyes were bulging last night I did so much research. I have found they all have different opinions for sure. But I think you are doing it right. I also bought a MERV 8 filter along with the fiberglass filter to play around and see which one performs best. I was using MERV 11! Way too high but I wasn't paying attention when I bought it. It also depends on the size of your return ducting which they say is almost always installed too small so a lower MERV rating is best. I could immediately tell a difference with the fiberglass filter. Interesting to me. They all say to never use a 3M filter as they are the most restrictive of all. I am a stickler for changing mine as well. I picked up some filters for Mom and Dad and they also use the fiberglass.I had an hvac guy tell me to not use those high dollar filters. He said if you do then don't use them for the three months like they say. You still need to change them monthly. At least that's what he told me. I just use the medium grade filters and change them like clockwork the beginning of each month.
My brothers and their wives are NOT taking this seriously and regularly go hang out with Mom and Dad. They are about to get an RJ chewing out (not pretty!). Mom and Dad won't say anything to them but they are scared. I even nicely mentioned it to my sis in law but she still didn't listen to me. My brother thinks it's all ridiculous. But no matter your own opinion...you have to think about others. No wonder cases in Alabama are increasing...It seems - to too many - that their "right" to party is more important than anyone else's right to health.

If they want to expose themselves them that’s their choice but they shouldn’t expose others .My brothers and their wives are NOT taking this seriously and regularly go hang out with Mom and Dad. I truly don't understand why companies want people who can do their jobs just as well from home to return to the workplace.I saw maybe two people wearing masks yesterday besides us. Me too.I truly don't understand why companies want people who can do their jobs just as well from home to return to the workplace.
Hope you are staying busy.I had my first ever Microsoft meeting online today. It was covering some online and in person training that I am required to do. It only ran about 20 minutes which was about the right amount of time to keep someone's attention.
I wish they would send some of the people I work with home to work. Not for safety, just because I'd rather they weren't here.![]()
Hope you are staying busy.
