I'm not quite sure which question you are asking, if you mean why should the check come at a more godly hour like 9:30 or 10 am, that would be my utter and entire lack of desire to like, climb in the car and drive to Tucson, start cleaning it, and then becoming the husband's seeing eye dog while he works on the steps.
The husband wants the check to come ASAP because it is "the final" check and the remainder of the contractor's "final" payment and they like to get paid. I think he thinks it is making it more likely the contractor will do the front steps. I don't personally think it will make any difference at all, the contractor has lots of stuff to do at the moment and doing them the way the husband is going to do it, it's really cheap. I mean, he'd spend more in labor than he would in profit probably. Etc.
Nevertheless though, we will leave when the check arrives, and I imagine the husband will be calling the mortgage company to say WHERE IS IT the minute he can. He paid for FedEx but like, that doesn't matter much if it takes the mortgage company 3 days to cut the check. THEY are not in any kind of hurry, believe me. ESPECIALLY when the mortgage inspector has come out and said, "Yes, our investment has been protected and is legal." It is after that inspection they release the final third of the funds.
I really, really, really HATE that I know this stuff. I also REALLY REALLY will NEVER be underinsured AGAIN. Get a new heat/cooling system-- BOOM, call to the insurance company-- we added THIS, charge us. Get a new roof 4 K-- BOOM call the insurance company, ADD THIS charge us.
I mean this was not ALL State Farm's fault exactly. A lot of the work the husband did in the home was so intricate and unreproducible we should have gotten an adjuster out to REVALUE the house, like every 4 months. You just don't like THINK like that usually, honestly. Well, *I* did not but I darn sure will NOW. LOL.
Although I think if I can get the hobbit into his correct habitat, he may stop destroying my homes, here is hoping.
